ANTIQUE VINTAGE CAST IRON METAL KOI FISH FLOWER FROG-MADE IN JAPAN
I have seen many flower frogs but none as unique as this one I found at an estate sale. It is what I believe to be a Koi fish. It measures 10" from mouth to tail and is almost 3" tall at the highest point and weighs 2 lbs. There is a patent# and it states made in Japan. This has been painted a gold color. Neoclassic Antique Victorian Vintage Cast Iron Garden Flower Pots Urn Planters
Not sure of the age. But has an old Victorian Vintage look and made out of a cast iron or pot metal. The top and bottom were casted separately and then bolted together( the bold is rusty and looks old) Can be used as a decorative planter or garden urns. It measure around 9 1/2” tall and 9” in diameter. It weights over4 pounds. At some point they were painted with a drab green to rust orange color and then beautifully aged to get a pastel old patina look. A natural pitted rough surface which is natural for cast iron. Very beautiful and classic!

Description This unusual and rare antique flower frog would have been used to create a beautiful floral arrangement. Vintage flower frogs are very popular and still used today. This one dates to c1920. The top wire is in a star shape. The others are circles to hold the flower stems. The wires can be bent to allow flowers to rest in any direction. The heavy cast metal base holds the flowers securely. These frogs will fit in the bottom of any bowl or vase that is more than 4" diameter. The underside of the base still has its original green paint. The top paint is worn from use over the decades. Measurements: 4" in diameter at the base and is 8" tall. What a Pair! Today we have two very large vintage cast iron flower frogs. They both have their original green paint that is chippy. Weathered& worn to sheer perfection! One measures 4.50" across, the other measures 5.25" across. These are quite heavy, cast iron from the Dazey Mfg. Co. NY, as noted on the embossed mark on the underside of each frog. Very hard to find. 12'9" long all cast iron water trough. Not as many were made this long- and their survival is just as unusual. It is 13" wide across the bottom and flares out to 17" wide across the top- it is 9 1/2" deep. It has a drain in one end. It is in as found condition- great old patina- if it ever warms up soon I will wash off the mud. This is a very heavy piece- I am guessing at least 500 lbs. VINTAGE WHITE WROUGHT IRON MESH 3-TIER GARDEN FLOWER CART YARD GARDEN DECOR
DESCRIPTION: Vintage. 3-tiered wrought iron garden cart and/or flower cart. The framework is constructed from heavy gauge wrought iron and bottoms of the carts are from a wrought iron mesh. The sides of the carts have a nice but simple scrolled design. Although it has 3 tiers. The middle and top tiers form a single unit that fits snugly into the inside of the lower cart. When taken apart. The middle/upper unit can rest steadily on the ground due to the design of the triangular-shaped frame. The bottom cart has a single scrolled handle the entire width for pushing it along. All of the spokes in the wheel are intact and the wheel still has both of the hubs. Note the star design in the spokes. You can either choose to refinish(sandblast and repaint) or leave as is for a lovely shabby piece for a vintage garden. DIMENSIONS: 5’ Tall as one unit ... moreLower/Middle unit alone: 33” Tall x 36” Long(to include the handle and 21 ½” deep. Top unit(top/middle) is 31 ½” Wide x 11” wide Bottom cart: Approx. 31 ¾” Wide x 16 ¾” Deep CONDITION: Please view the photos very carefully. With the exception of the rust(that gives it character) It’s in perfect condition. Some places have extensive rusting. There are no holes in the mesh anywhere. The wheel still has both of the hubs and the cart moves easily when pushed. Notice that the top tier has a support brace on each side of it. Those braces are open. In other-words. ATQ Cast Iron Planter/Urn Garden Flower Pot from 1850 Carriage House
A beautiful antique flower planter/urn/pot. It was used at an 1850's carriage house that was unfortunately being torn down for a parking lot. We salvaged what we could so it wouldn't end up in a landfill and lost forever. I don't know it's actual age but that is where it came from. It would make a wonderful addition to your yard or even used indoors. Made from cast iron that looks like it was put together by hand. You can see where the seams were welded etc. but it does not detract. It adds to it's beauty. This beautiful planter measures approx. 14 inches tall by 11 1/2 across at the top. Condition seems appropriate for it's age. Please look closely at the pictures as they give you the best description. I can't possibly know what one person will think is a flaw and another an enhancement. There is some surface ... morerust. I did only very light cleaning as many like items left as is. If you look at the third picture. You will see a thin crack on the rim. It it not really easily seen with the naked eye. Even with the thin crack it is a gorgeous old planter. You can see in the pictures that it kind of changes tone colors depending on how the light is hitting it. For those who may think only a"Top Rated" Vendor can be trusted to be a good seller. I lost my status because I didn't list/sale enough in a certain amount of time. Frankly I don't think it goes hand in hand but I will have it back when I sell more items in a certain amount of time. We have seen these so many times and have always loved them. Antique table plant pot holder or. As we liked to see them, Candle holder for those big candles. A central upper holder with three that can be swivelled on their hinged mount. From side to side it is about 17 inches and 8 3/8th inch high approximately(though these are approximate measurements to give an idea of size. The three lower holders can be lifted off for storage and this will be shipped to you with these taken off and wrapped to give them protection. We just wished that the people at the estate hadn't gone crazy with black paint. They said that"they had seen on TV that if you paint something old and cruddy with black paint someone would buy it" We had to explain that we would have bought it anyway and it was far nicer with that old and cruddy look to it. Thankfully ... moretheir paintwork was merely a quick repaint and a lack of preparation means that the paint is chipping off and we feel quite comfortable that it will quickly return to being more primitive looking. This auction is for an antique cast iron figural flower frog. There is a larger hole in the center and 4 additional holes. It is heavy for its size. Weighing 1 pound. It measures 4 1/2" long x 1 1/2" high. It actually looks more like a toad to me as there are bumps on its legs and back, but you can be the judge. Fantastic detail that is hard to see in the photos-including curled up toes on the back legs and an open mouth. Not marked that I can see.
