PUR Backpacking water purifier hand pump
Had to relist this. Buyer never contacted or paid for this. This is for a PUR backpacking water purifier that works by filter and hand pump. It is in perfect working order and would be great for someone who need to be able to get clean water, pack lite, but doesn't want to spend 300 dollars on a pocket pump. It doesn't come with a filter but you can get a replacement filter cheap enough, katadyn filters fit this type of PUR pump. Comes with the tubing and prepump filter which is all in working order. I'm getting rid of this because I'm consolidating my gear and don't need this pump anymore. It is very lite, probably less then 10 oz, 5.5 inches long by 3 inches wide. Has a great pump return, last time I used it, it was probably around 40 pumps for a liter. Easy to use, easy to store, and if you get it cheap. Vintage W L Davey Corp Cast Iron/Brass Hand Well Water Pump Farm Tool Primitive
Vintage pump marked W. L. Davey Corp. Rockford. Ill. This pump measures 20" tall, the base is 9" x 4 1/2" and the handle is about 18 1/2" long. The top spout part is threaded and is 1" the other one 1/2 way down is also threaded and is 3/4" The body part is brass as well as some of the other fittings, the rest is cast iron. The handle moves freely, there are no cracks, welds or breaks in the cast iron. There are various cast#s on a few of the parts, see pictures for details. Hasn't been tested or used in years, might need new"guts" or would be great for garden decor. Ships USPS Standard(economy) or Priority w/$5.00 handling which includes tracking and insurance.

Used. Windmill or Hand Operated Water Pump Housing, Lever and other components. Manufactured by the Challenge Company in Batavia, Illinois, probably in the 1920's but I'm not sure of an exact date. Nice looking cast iron pump housing. Lever and pivot. Base would allow anchoring for display(I'll include a"dummy, not original equipment" sucker rod to help position handle, not pictured) or use these good components for repair parts! The numbers"1492" are cast into the lower part of housing. These might be a model number. Not sure. Challenge Co, Batavia ILL is also cast into the housing. The number"18" is cast into the lever, the letter"C" on the connecting link and the number"919" on the parting rod guide. The pump housing with the pivot casting on top, measures about 45-1/2" ... morein overall height and the base is about 10-1/4" diameter. The handle is about 39" long as shown in the picture. There is evidence of possibly factory"as manufactured" repairs on the spigot. You can see small rectangular pieces of what appear to be cast iron inserted in a couple of spots(see pictures) There is also an old"weld repair" to the housing. Just above the end of the CHALLENGE CO/BATAVIA ILL script(see picture) There is a small"notch" in the base edge and other nicks and dings from use. I don't see any other repairs or cracks but without putting water to it, I don't know for sure. There is a"cast line" on the side of the base of the top casting that looks like a crack but when examined from the inside/end, there is no crack and it is evident that it is"as cast" This IS NOT a complete working pump. This is an old Antique Cast Iron Home Water Pump from DAVEY PUMP in Rockford Illinois. I found this in a shed at a 125 year old farmhouse. The granddaughter told me it was in their kitchen until they got city water and electricity in the 1940s. It was covered in crud so I gently cleaned off most of the grime. The original Red paint is still in great shape with no signs of corrosion. It just needs some more gentle cleaning to preserve the painted finish. Antique Myers & Bro Cast Iron Hand Water Pump - Made In Ohio - Green Paint
This wonderful Antique hand water well pump is marked F.E. Myers& Bro Ashland O for Ohio. It's is stamped with No. 2446. The main body measures 26” tall and 20” wide with central cylinder 7" diameter. The original handle is 44" long and the parts move. It has been mounted on a wooden plank as shown in photos. I have not tested this with water so sold as seen. I see no chips or cracks to the cast iron and seem to be in good condition. The paint is cracked. Flaking in places and there is a little surface rust. It has been stored in a dry barn for decades hence the unusual good condition of the paint and body. This is a fantastic piece. For sale is an impressively large and old hand water pump marked W& B Douglas and Patented 1842. The pump itself measures 29 1/2" tall by 12" deep(back of base to end of spout) and 19" wide(edge of left base to right end of handle) There is a 28 1/2" long pipe attached to the base of the pump. The pump is untested and there is light surface rust on the base. Handle, and handle support. We have not tried to remove the lower pipe. The pump is painted bright green, which we believe is not the original paint. In good antique condition: No breaks, cracks, or repairs. A genuine farm antique.
