This auction is for three very old sets of plow tines. These old fella's time have come to an end in the plow field. But still have plenty of use to go in the way of art and deco. I have done no restoration to these items, just in case the customer wants this rustic look that can only be done by mother nature. These would make for a great deco piece in the lawn or garden. Actually anywhere, now that I think about it. Here in the Ozarks people use them for garden accent pieces and fence decor. These could be used in great industrial art pieces, coat racks and tack hangers in the barn or garden. I have found no cracks or breaks in the tines. They are in surprisingly very good shape despite their age. I can not find any identifying maker's marks on this item without removing the patena. Vintage Wheel Hoe Walk Behind Garden Plow Cultivator Planet Jr or similar
The 6 spoke wheel is 15" diameter and 1 1/2" wide. The overall length is 24" it has 5 tines or prongs, the wheel rotates freely, there is surface rust all over but the entire unit is very strong and useable. This could easily be used if you add handles but are often used for garden decoration. All solid steel and built to last, I cannot find a name on it, but it looks similar to Planet Jr tools i see listed on ebay. All payment methods accepted.

Antique Vintage EMPIRE PLOW COMPANY Walk-Behind Plow Garden Cultivator Rare"AMERICAN BEAUTY" Model This old walk-behind push plow/ garden cultivator belonged to my grandfather. Who lived to almost 100 years old and was a true homesteader. He used this hand plow to cultivate his garden behind the house he built himself with stones collected from a creek bed. The plow was made by the Empire Plow Company. Which began manufacturing farm implements in 1840 in Georgia before moving to Pittsburgh, PA, before the Civil War. They relocated to Cleveland, OH, in the 1890s. The plow is constructed of all steel, except for the handles, which are wood, possibly oak. The frame has much of its original green color left. It looks much greener in person than in the photos. We have not cleaned or restored it in any way, so it retains its weathered ... morelook with some rust and old patina. It's just as my grandfather left it, right down to some mud on the wheel that's probably 75 years old. I am not sure of the plow's age, but I know it dates at least back to the 1940s, as my uncle, as a child, recalls seeing him use it then. On the outside of the right handle. The word EMPIRE is printed in black over a white rectangular box. Above it in very faded letters are the words Empire Plow Co, followed by something else I can't make out. Lower on the handle are the words AMERICAN BEAUTY. I have not been able to find any other examples of this Empire model anywhere, so I assume it to be rare. If you have any info about this model, please send me a message. The design of the frame looks same as the Empire Boy Scout High Wheel plows used by boy scouts to grow victory gardens during WWI. The Empire American Beauty measures approximately 60" in overall length. The handles are 49-1/2" long and 1-3/4" by 1" wood. The wheel is 1-3/8" wide and 23-1/2" in diameter. Up for auction are a set of 2 consisting of a VINTAGE GARDEN CULTIVATOR RAKE HEAD 5 TINE CLAW and a 4 TINE CLAW for a garden or farm hand plow. The first claw head has 5 tines but the shorter middle one tip is broken off a little(see picture) It is rusty- needs to be cleaned but otherwise looks great. There is a number 30-H on it About 8 1/2 inches wide by 8 1/2 inches long. Weighs a little over 2 lbs and is very solid. The second claw head has 4 tines- and the 2nd tine is broken at the tip(see pictures) This one has more rust on it and needs to be cleaned but otherwise looks OK. I am selling some of my husband's Planet Jr. pieces that he has been collecting for a few years. I will have several auction listings this week. This listing is for 3 pieces. First is a set of 2 weed sweeps or weeders. They are both marked: PLANET JR. Other markings are: 4062 PATENTED; S 101; U.S.A. and"4061 PATENTED; S 100; U.S.A. The other piece is not marked Planet Jr. but it was on one of the push plows that he has bought in the past. It's only marking is: S 94" It is a five tine rake or'scratcher' I consider the three pieces to be in very good used shape. Especially considering the purpose of their use.
