Antique Architectural Garden Wooden ARTS CRAFTS MISSION OAK Plant Stand
Here for your consideration is an antique ARTS CRAFTS MISSION OAK plant stand. This measures 17 1/4" tall and is 12" square at the top. The legs are tapered and splay out making the base 10 1/2" square. This is constructed of solid oak and features cut-out sides and a scalloped top. There is a slight split to the top that was repaired and really only noticeable from underneath. The piece is otherwise in good sturdy condition with all other wear reflective of age and use. For a small size stand this is solid weighing almost 5.5 lbs. Can be used as a table top or floor display to enhance your ARTS CRAFTS or any decor. I had purshase it in a moving sale from a lady that inform me it belong to her grandmother's to water her plants back in the days. Measures 6 1/2 inches tall. Antique Forged Iron Farm Garden Row Stake Pole Tool Plant Rope Guide primitive I believe these are antique garden stakes or poles used to make straight planting rows in the garden. The forged iron stakes were used by a real English gardener on a wealthy estate in New Jersey during approx. 1940s-60s. The estate featured a farm and employed a blacksmith for decades. Therefore most likely these were forged on the farm at some point. Both stakes feature a spear at the bottom, one having an"eye" at the top and the other a"grid" to wrap the rope around- the grid is free to spin around, making winding up the rope easy. The simple stake measures 26" long and the larger one measures 28" long. The rope may be original, however I'm not certain. This listing is for a tall(41 inch) black wrought iron planter. Some years back it was found in the attic of a very old home in Pennsylvania. You are bidding on a very unique Vintage small lawn and garden porch sprinkler. I have never seen one like this before. The entire piece is approx 5 and 1/2 inches long and 2 inches at its widest. The spike that goes in the ground is 3 and 1/4 inches long. The top portion is about 2 and 1/4 inches long. Its made of cast aluminum. I could not find any markings on it. As you can see in the photos the red paint has some peeling from age but could easily be repainted or you could keep the patina look. The sprinkler Works great. True attic find from my 1897 Victorian farmhouse in the VA mountains. Chippy green paint over chippy yellow paint with rust spots. Much of the house had original yellow paint downstairs and the bedrooms had this original green paint. Based on the history of the house I would guess this item is from the1930's or earlier. And I lean towards 1920's or earlier. The exterior of the claw foot tub in the circa 1920's bathroom was originally painted this color green. About 14" W when open x 27" H. Vintage Mid Century White Wrought Metal Plant/ Garden Caddy. Original white finish may need some touch up. Repainting or light sanding. Has 2 side round rings for 3" pots. Bottom shelf and a drop down shelf with 4 circular rings for more 3" pots. The openings on the rings measure 3 1/2" Cute stationary wheels decorate the front.
