ANTIQUE VINTAGE CAST IRON METAL KOI FISH FLOWER FROG-MADE IN JAPAN
I have seen many flower frogs but none as unique as this one I found at an estate sale. It is what I believe to be a Koi fish. It measures 10" from mouth to tail and is almost 3" tall at the highest point and weighs 2 lbs. There is a patent# and it states made in Japan. This has been painted a gold color. Ernestine Noera Pole designed and held a patent on these lead flower holders. Filed back in 1932. They were sold in the flower shop of the Homestead Hotel in Hot Springs, Virginia from the early 1930s through the 1950s. She designed at least 10 designs shaped like petals or leaves which varied in size from quite small up to the biggest of 10" in diameter with 24 sets of leaves/petals. This listing is for the pair of two. The smaller one has 5 petals- measures 3.5" tall by 4.5" wide and weighs 13 ounces The larger has 7 petals- measures 3.5" tall by 5.5" wide and weighs about 23 ounces. Pretty good condition. Except one petal on the larger frog has become de-attached(shown ... morein photos) If just sitting on a shelf, this petal will sit in place by itself. Description This unusual and rare antique flower frog would have been used to create a beautiful floral arrangement. Vintage flower frogs are very popular and still used today. This one dates to c1920. The top wire is in a star shape. The others are circles to hold the flower stems. The wires can be bent to allow flowers to rest in any direction. The heavy cast metal base holds the flowers securely. These frogs will fit in the bottom of any bowl or vase that is more than 4" diameter. Rare' is because I could find no info on this company aside from one other piece that sold on another auction site. The piece is marked on the bottom. Flower Frog: Brass & Metal Adjustable Sunflower Form
This is quite a large flower frog made from a heavy metal and brass. The 5.25" metal base with grid pattern retains its original green paint and is imprinted"No. 8" on the bottom. The top side attaches to brass wirework which is domed over the bottom grid and has a movable petal-shaped border which adjusts up and down. Each loop has a brass wrap to hold the wires to each other. It resembles a beautiful sunflower. The condition is quite good. No apologies even for a bit of peeling paint, and residual dirt is included! I would date this frog to c. 1920-40's. I charge only exact shipping fees and pack well.

Neither have any bent of missing nails. There is a round copper colored with 2 side indents that measures 2 1/8" x ¾" tall with no bent nails and a little bit of debris in the nails. Vintage Metal Spike Flower Frog 2 1/2 lbs!! Very cool shape
Up for sale is this very cool metal flower frog. Very heavy! Weighs about 2 1/2 lbs and is a really cool shape. This one measures almost 7" long at the longest side and measures just shy of 1 3/4" high. There are a few little paint chipps on the edges and a few on the bottom. Inside is in great condition all of the spikes are in place and not broken. There is a water line around the inside that may come out with a good cleaning. Very Cool!

It is 5" x 2.25" x 2" The next is an unmarked green frog with most of the paint worn off. The top of this one is pushed in a little. It is 2" round x 2" tall. The next two are Vogue no. 70 flower frogs. They are 2.25" round x 1.5" tall. The last is an unmarked aluminum square frog. It is 3" square x 2" tall. One is black and the other copper colored. The two small ones are 1.25" round. One here is black and the other copper colored. Antique Lead Flower Frog. Wonderful old flower frog in the form of romaine lettuce leaves. This piece is unmarked and made of lead; it weighs 14.7 ounces. It appears to be a handmade item and has an irregular shaped circular base with applied tabs to hold the sections together. It has a green painted finish which in our opinion is original. The frog stands 3 1/8” 8 cm) tall and has six open bottom sections to hold the flower stems. The flat base has a diameter of 3 ¾” 9.4 cm) measured at its widest point. Probably one of the teeniest old flower frogs that I have sold- this cutie measures 1" by a smidge over 1" and is 13/16" tall. It feels solid and hefty for its size. Though- although it's only a couple of ounces. Made of a grey metal that a magnet does not stick to, it is in excellent solid and sturdy condition, with 25 spikes on top to hold your flowers- the spike are still quite sharp too! It could use a good cleaning- I have not cleaned it at all, and it shows white residue that looks like oxidation. No other issues- it's a cutie patootie that will do your flowers proud! Vintage LOT of 3 Glass FLOWER FROG Arrangement Inserts mid century greenhouse
This is a NICE Antique Vintage Clear Glass LOT of 3 FLOWER FROGS The BASE on the SMALLEST Measures 3 7/8" in diameter. IT has a 1" Slightly Inward Rim.so it would not fall through a hole it if was placed on top. IT is all of 2" tall in the Center. IT has 11 holes for flowers. The Next in size measures about 4 1/2" in diameter and also has a slight"inward rim"so it would not fall through a hole it was placed on top of.like a vase.it is about 1 3/4" tall in the center. The Largest measures 5" in diameter and also has a slight"inwared rim" so it would not fall through a vase that it would be placed on.It is 1" tall in the center. This lot of THREE are NOT new They have no chips or cracks and is VERY Usable. They Work GREAT As a PAPERWEIGHT Also! The spirals are sandwiched between the lead. And copper brads(impressed with the numbers“14/5” were used to secure its center and ends.
