This listing is for a National Walking Lawn Sprinkler Model#A5. This sprinkler was manufactured in Lincoln Nebraska. This item is made from cast iron and the weight is 26lbs. This item is in very good condition and has most of its original paint. See photos. This very cleverly designed and constructed tractor works by converting the power of the water flowing from the garden hose into mechanical motion powerful enough to drag a hose filled with water clear across the yard. The water is forced out through the copper tube rotors and forces them to spin. This sprinkles the lawn but the whirling copper tubes also turn a gear which then turns a series of reduction gears. Up for sale is the classic pre-1920 cast-iron push mower with a wooden handle. It still works but is probably a better decorative item than functional one. The defects are as follows: one wheel has a chip of cast-iron missing and generally has a coating of surface rust. And the wooden roller that sits at ground level behind the blades has some dry-rot. This item is too heavy to ship and is for pickup only. This was my grandmother's lawn mower and has been in my house which I purchased from her since the early 1920s.

Up for auction is a very cool vintage walking cast iron sprinkler shaped like a tractor and painted red with white wheels. As the water pumps through the nozzle at the back of the tractor it propels the sprinkler head to spin. As the sprinkler spins. The tractor slowly moves forward watering your garden or lawn. This piece is a great decorative/display piece, but it does move freely and appears to work as it should. There does look like there was a plastic piece that fit around where the sprinkler is attached, but this is broken. It doesn't impact the visual appearance or function. This can be seen best in picture 12. This piece does have minimal rust, adding to the character, but could likely be cleaned. Large Antique Cast Iron Cherub Statue Planter Urn Sculpture Lawn & Garden
Here is a beautiful old large solid cast iron cherub garden statue. The statue is quite large and measures about 34" high. The base is 12- 13" in diameter, and this is a very heavy solid piece. My guess would be 70 lbs or more, but I have not weighed it. It is a lovely piece, a nude cherub child, draped with cloth, and holding a large urn/ planter. It has some areas of rust, but in general, is in great condition. It looks like there may have been repair on his one hand that is holding the urn, but it is difficult to tell as his knuckles may be bent- I have shown a picture of this area. This is a beatiful lawn or garden or lakefront piece, and would look stunning with a beautiful flower pot placed in the urn. I believe this RED ARROW sprinkler with the Art Deco base is a hard-to-find piece. It has a very cool"rocket" looking spray head. It is clearly embossed Allen Red Arrow Chicago. It is in as-found condition with worn paint and rusty areas as you'd expect for its age and use. The cast iron base measures 7 3/4" x 8" It measures 9 7/8" high to the top of the spray head. There is a tight crack in the iron base which can be seen in the last photo. In fact. We never noticed it til reviewing our pictures. Everything operates smoothly. This old cast iron KEES KRAWLER lawn sprinkler tractor looks great as a stand alone as a decorator piece. It is a very nice piece. Jocko The Faithful Groomsman Lawn Jockey I am selling this'Jocko' The Faithful Groomsman statue. Which was purchased by my grandparents in the late 1930s. It stood outside. Though always cleaned and"Simonized' In the early 70s was repainted. And from 1977 on, was in- doors in an air conditioned environment. This is truly a fine example of Black Americana history. The only deterioration of this piece is slight surface rust at some of the seams as you can see in the photographs. All of the seams are closed and tight with the only ex- ception being the right hand. As shown. These statues are controversial. And always will be. Though there are many negative connotations associated with this piece. Below is one positive, from legend, that I would like to think to be true. However. Some accounts of the figure's origin cause ... moresome to see the statue as representing a hero of African American history and culture. According to the the figure originated in commemoration of heroic dedication to duty: It is said that the'lawn jockey' actually has its roots in the tale of one Jocko Graves. An African-American youth who served with at the time that he crossed the Delaware to carry out his surprise attack on forces at. The General thought him too young to take along on such a dangerous attack. So left him on the side to tend to the horses and to keep a light on the bank for their return. So the story goes. The boy, faithful to his post and his orders, froze to death on the river bank during the night, the lantern still in his hand. This auction is for a great old sprinker. It is all metal and still in working order. The base has a very interested shape. It measures approx. 5 inches tall. It is in working order. There is some paint loss with age but just adds to the look. It has a brass quick connect in it but can easily be removed if you just want to hook up a normal water hose. Thanks for looking.
