Sturdy, wooden hose reel is 38" tall~~the wood frame is 13" wide~~out to out of the 4 1/2" in diameter wheels is 16 1/4" wide~~the bentwood frame lumber is 1 1/2" wide and 3/4" thick. The steel wheels roll independent of one another. None of the weathered wood is broke, gouged, split or rotten. I would guess this is vintage 1920s, you be the judge. The wheels as well as the center reel move with ease. There are hints of the original red paint on the frame. All metal parts have some surface rust only. Measures 37 1/2" tall with a blade of 8 3/4" wide by 11 1/4" tall with solid steel 2 written on neck. Wooden handle is made out of one piece of wood which has two bolts on each side of the handle. Blade has rust throughout and one crack in the center of the top of handle shown in the last two photos. But does not go all the way through. Nice for garden decoration. Most likely from the 1800's. This is a vintage/antique garden hand tool that was definitely made to last for many years of hard use. This neat old trowel is made of heavy duty steel with a sturdy oak handle-it weighs in at nearly 13 ounces. The overall length is 13 1/2"the blade is 6" and with the shaft it is 10 1/2" That stubby oak handle is 1 1/2" across the top. There is a bit of a gap between the bottom edge of the handle and the shaft but the handle is very well secured.it is not about to come loose. Another neat feature of this trowel is the tabs at the top of the blade.not quite sure why unless to keep you from digging too far down. The blade still has some of the original gray paint and a little light surface rust. It would"spiffy" up really good if you prefer your old tools that way.
