Up for auction is a Rare Antique"French. Porcelain Enamel Heart, Memorial Plaque" with a Cross Top. The plaques with the cross tops are hard to find. The porcelain over metal plaque is approx 6 1/4" wide by 9 1/2" high by 1/8" thick. The lower right hand edge has the makers name. The plaque isn't flat it is convex and would stick out from the wall slightly. This would make a nice accent piece for the home or garden. I have made no attempt to clean this, it is as found on a recent trip to France. The plaque has porcelain missing, rust& faded lettering with original patina& damage as pictured. WE ARE OFFERING Antique Pair of Tall Porcelain Hand Painted French Sevres/ Meissen Style Covered Urns For your consideration is this lovely Pair of Antique Porcelain Hand Painted French/ Sevres/Meissen Style Lidded Urns. The Urns each measure approximately 17 1/2" tall. Measuring to the top of the lid covers, not including the finial. They are Cream or Antique White in color. With the Urn on the Left(in pictures) being a bit yellower. They each feature a handpainted portrait center and are handpainted on both sides, see pictures) with surrounding accenting gold work. They also include gilded bronze or brass ornate mounts. Each Urn has been dusted and lightly cleaned-there appears to be a bit of tape residue on the back of the right Urn-so they may need some finer cleaning. The gold colored metal brass mounts. Handles and trim, show age ... morewear with some of the gold color missing in various areas. Some of the gold gilt flower decoration is gray colored-not sure if its suppose to look that way for variation or has lost gilt over the years due to aging. The measurements are 22 3/4" x 18 1/2" x 10 3/4" Inside the cage is an old nesting basket and original swing. The doors are intact. The door on the right has an old wire repair and is missing the closing hook/latch. The bottom pan is missing and wires that are to be under the pan have come loose from their wood supports. Vintage Antique French Wasp or insect catcher to hang in Garden Tree, pink glass
I am moving home soon. So having a MASSIVE clear out, with hundreds of household items& Silver, so please look at my other auctions as I will combine postage to save you money. I bought this wasp catcher at a French brocante antiques market about 15 years ago. And hung it in my tree when I lived in the country next to a vineyard. It has now been in storage in London for 7 years, and so I am selling it. It is really lovely, and although it needs a good clean, it is not chipped or cracked, and has a slightly grey/pinkish/lilac tinge to the glass. Due to an emergency. A nice antique French hexagonal sundial. Made of cast aluminium, dating from the 1920s/30s. This is a horizontal sundial with a decorative gnomon. Roman numerals and points of the compass. It has a plaque at the bottom which is in French but is quite worn and hard to read, also a date of 1805. It measures 12" across and the gnomon is 5" high. It has a lovely aged verdigris patination and overall is in good antique condition. This nice quality antique sundial would look fabulous in any garden setting. This lovely. Unique piece came from an antique store. It's the largest antique wooden planter I've ever seen. It measures 49 inches long. 14 1/2 inches deep and 19 1/2 inches tall. It has its original tin/zinc liner. Some seams to the wood. Wear to paint and some bowing to the wood, but this is very sturdy. It's weathered perfectly. The raised decoration on this piece is just fantastic! There are some small losses to the design. But I'd say it's 95% intact. This planter has amazing presence! Shipping will be $85. It has evidently been used as the paint is chipped and shabby(perfect in my eyes) and was still filled with remnants of earth when I found it. There is a draining hole to the base for when it is planted up. Large vintage garden urn. Made of iron/metal& resin designed to look like stone Purposely distressed.
