Offered for Auction: Pair of Old Brass Hose Nozzles manufactured in Italy by ROYAL. One has patent pending and the other is patented. I am uncertain of their age. The nozzles advance and retract easily. However I have not tested them. They both have their original patina. Condition: Fair given their age and use. There are surface scratches and discoloration and a few dings. They are dirty and I have not cleaned them. I have not tested them and they are being sold as is. The nozzles measure 4" L x approximately 1 1/4" W outside measurement and taper to 7/8" W at the ends and together they weigh 14.2 oz A nice addition to anyone's collection. The Peoria IL company introduced a solid brass version of this sprinkler in 1929. I imagine the copper& brass version was made sometime later. The company is still in business& has a good website. I partially polished the outside of piece. The inside still has the original patina. It's kind of a nice combination. I have included pictures of the sprinkler working. I did find that my current hose is slightly smaller than the input hole. They must have been bigger back in the day. A little plumbers tape would do the job. Antique Brass Sprayer "Calimax" No. 1 - Carl Platz - 25" tall, 10" diameter
You are bidding on a gorgeous brass canister. The canster is about 25 inches tall and about 10 inches in diameter. When I found the canister. I thought that it was a antique fire extinquisher, but I think that is incorrect because the attachment for the hose is at the bottom of the canister rather than at the top. It could be an antique brass garden sprayer or a fumigator. It is missing the hose and the pressurizing pump which goes into the screw at the top. The canister has been polished but there are dents and marks. I do not know if the marks can be removed or polished out. There is a handle attached to a second screw in opening at the top(picture 7) I do not know the purpose. There is also a hook for a strap on the back of the canister(picture 80. Antique Brass Garden Hose Sprayer w valve
Antique heavy metal- looks like brass- garden sprayer/sprinkler. Threaded to fit on to a standard garden hose. About 7 1/4 in long. About 3 inches across the valve. Sprinkler about 1 3/4 across. Sprinkler head unscrews. Valve turns easily. Entire piece has nice patina. No corrosion. Weight about 15 oz. Shipping $8
