3 Vintage Industrial Rustic& Rusty Steel Mower Blades Lawn Garden Iron Art CC Who-hoo- went to my first auction of the summer- it was a farm estate auction literally right down the street from me. The former owners had lived there since he had gotten out of the military after enlisting during WWII. And her family had been on the property for generations before that. It’s all farm stuff- household, barn, outbuildings, property- many items from the 1800s and up. Lot of old iron, barn digs, primitives and pretties- I’m so excited to show them to you! Enjoy! I'm listing these old Cub Cadet lawn tractor blades as yard art. Not for use, as I have not used them, and don't have any idea how"sharp" or functional they would be. I just loved the way you can arrange them- from a flower, to an N, to a triangle to a 3 bladed fan.the ... morepossibilities are limited to your imagination! Each on measures 16 1.2" long, 2 1/2" widest and has a 3/4" hole in the center, with a 1/4" hole on either side. Each one weighs 2 1/4 lbs- so they are heavy. They have just the remnants of gold colored paint, that goes great with the darkened patina of the steel and the light surface rust that cen be seen all over- more of a covering in the center of the blades, and more spotty on the outside edges of the blades. They are in excellent solid and sturdy condition structurally, with no cracks or structural issues that I can find. I do see a CC mark that I think may be for Cub Cadet. These would look so cool hanging on the wall, or even inserted in the ground for your own whimsical iron sculpture! They are barn fresh dusty/dirty and could use a good cleaning. Love the LOOK! This is all metal(our guess is steel) with worn red paint on the handle. It measures 10" in length. The center tine is 7" in length, the side tines are 9.5" The metal piece at the top is 4" x 1" weight is 11 oz. It is fully functional and solid. There is a 1" oval opening on the back of the handle for ease in cleaning. The teeth at the end of the tines are in good condition allowing for it's age. The 3 steel tines are reinforced at the bend. The wood handle is ash or hickory. The handle measures 5" in length, no cracks. At one time 3/4 of this tool was painted red. VINTAGE WHITE WROUGHT IRON MESH 3-TIER GARDEN FLOWER CART YARD GARDEN DECOR
DESCRIPTION: Vintage. 3-tiered wrought iron garden cart and/or flower cart. The framework is constructed from heavy gauge wrought iron and bottoms of the carts are from a wrought iron mesh. The sides of the carts have a nice but simple scrolled design. Although it has 3 tiers. The middle and top tiers form a single unit that fits snugly into the inside of the lower cart. When taken apart. The middle/upper unit can rest steadily on the ground due to the design of the triangular-shaped frame. The bottom cart has a single scrolled handle the entire width for pushing it along. All of the spokes in the wheel are intact and the wheel still has both of the hubs. Note the star design in the spokes. You can either choose to refinish(sandblast and repaint) or leave as is for a lovely shabby piece for a vintage garden.
