Found this table when cleaning out my parents home. I don't know the age or the name of the table. I just know that it use to have a statue on it in the hall when I was little. I think it is walnut but it could be dark mahogany. It has two tiers and craved spindles on four sides. It is very pretty to look at and would make a great table for any entrance hall. Very Old Antique Candle Plant Primitive Table Walnut or Mahogany Wood Stand NR
This auction is for a very old candle/plant stand. It is from the 1800's. It has been in my family for many generations. I am not sure if it is walnut or mahogany. I was told it was walnut but just not sure how to tell. The photos show the condition of the stand. You can see on the top and the bottom of the top piece. It does come off and you can glue it permantly if you like. When I ship it I will wrap the round piece off of the stand and that will protect it better. I just left it as is. The top piece has some seperation in the wood and you can see on the bottom where it has been held together with old clips. It has a little area where the wood is chipped on the bottom rim. Please look at photo. I think the imperfections give it character due to the life it has had. I saw one very much like it in an antique shop in Winter Park Fl for ... more$275. It was always in the corner by the sitting room chairs at my great grandparents home. It was used to hold the calling cards of the visitors to the home. The table is accented with a rose and leaf"swag" on both the front and back side. The legs are beautifully curved with a large double detail in the center of the legs. This is a rare find! Set of 1950's Tony Paul walnut and brass table lamps made for the Westwood Brass and Wood Co. They are in good original vintage condition. They both work well. The wear is consistent with age. The bottom walnut piece is done in a patchwork form(see pic 12) a kind of Paul Evans style. Paul Evans and Tony Paul did work together for awhile.Some of the finish has rubbed off a little on one of the lamps(pic 8&9) There are no chips or deep scratches to the wood. We are pleased to offer this lovely table. The table is solid Walnut wood with no veneer. It features very deeply carved details. Both on the legs and the top. The table or stand is a 3 legged design. The legs are turned wood with carved scrolls in raised relief. The table top is deeply notched around the perimeter in a"pinwheel" type pattern. The top surface displays superb carved details. There are raised scrolls, which match the pattern of the legs, around the inside perimeter. The center features a trio of carved, raised flowers with stems and leaves. These are inset on a recessed surface which is encircled with a raised wood border. The top has either hand scraped or router marks for further interest. The table is a true work of art and it is finely crafted. I do not know the age of the table. Under the top, the table is assembled ... morewith flat screws. The leg attachments have Phillips head screws. I don't know if these are replacements. The wood is thick and substantial. RARE Antique walnut violin leg old table from grandma's estate (see pics & ad )
I have this antique- rare old table up for bid. It came from my grandmother's estate and from my great grandmother's estate. The the table has been in our family a long while. When I talked with my mother about the table she said it was about 200 years old. It has a stamp under it NO. A-521. WAL. IMT it also has an 85 engraved near the supporting base across wood. The legs are shaped like a violin. It does need some restoration if someone wants to take time to make it more valuable. Let my inheritance be your treasure it will do nothing but sit in a corner here and collect dust. I have pictured all flaws no hidden anything. I am selling this absolutely gorgeous antique library table. I would date this table circa 1930s. This table is in BEAUTIFUL condition. There are some small scratches and scuffs on the legs but nothing that takes away from the beauty of the piece. This table has princess Ann style legs and a nice curve coming out from the table top. I believe the table is walnut but I am not absolutely certain. There is a tag on the bottom of the table which I am guessing is a makers mark but some of it is ripped off so I am unable to make it out. I listed a picture of it! This table came out of a wealthy families estate in Culpeper. VA. Hello, This beautiful dining room table is stunning. Possibly from 20's? It has been in out family for over 30 years. My mother spent 2 years looking for this table. And a set of chairs to go with it, when I was a child. Unfortunately it is too nice and too large for for us to us with our kids and current housing situation. It has been in storage for too long and it is time for it to be appreciated again. There are a few wear and tear marks as pointed out in the photos. But they are small considering the age. One leg has had had the foot glued back on, but it split in such a way that the integrity of the leg is not compromised. You have to look pretty close to see it.
