Dick Pope Jr. Vintage Wood Water Ski Coffee Table Unique 3 Ski Design Pine Base
This very unique Dick Pope Jr. coffee table is comprised of 3 wooden water skis with a very sturdy pine base.The base is designed so that the braces are angled which give the table a sense of movement. The tabletop design allows for items to be placed on the skis only and leaves gaps in between each ski. We would be more than happy to add an acrylic top to the piece; however. That comes at an extra cost. The skis are made of 2 different kinds of wood, the center piece being hickory and the outter edges being mahogany. Antique Heavy Cast Iron Scrollwork Dining Table Base The base is 28" tall and the base measures 35" wide from one foot to the opposite foot. The upper"x" table support is 19" wide. Each direction. There are holes in the ends of the top"x" so that a table top or substructure can be screwed down to it. The tube in the center of the cast iron base is hollow- 1 3/4" in diameter inside. The tube is not open ended. So if you wanted to use as a patio table base, a pole would not go all the way to the ground. Aesthetically speaking, that would probably look better anyway. The base is incredibly sturdy. Weighs about 45 pounds and it once held a 200 pound bluestone table top. It is very solid and an incredible piece of craftsmanship. Beautiful old round table shows it has been loved and well maintained- Only a couple places have been fixed through the years. 48 inches across Base is 26 inches tall and 26 inches across The latch on the top needs a new piece. The long piece is there but the loop to lock into is missing. Some repair is needed to the sliding pieces. The top is not currently attached to the base. So it will be easy to move. Eastlake Style Table Base
This piece is a vintage Eastlake Table Base. The table(from the floor to the brace for the table top) is 28" high. The brace for the table top is 23" X 16" And it is 2 1/2" high(where the trim is not adorned) The table base is in very good condition. But it does have a few dings here and there. The legs have beautiful detail. Feet have a spiral design etched into the circular shaped feet. And the legs(and bracing for the legs) have square and round elements with simple flower petal shaped carvings dug out of the wood. The main pedestal of the table is round, and there are four legs surrounding the round pedestal- they are rectangular posts with simple detail. The cross bracing of the legs have nice carvings and make this Eastlake table a great find. The table will need to have a top.marble is ideal.and hopefully you can ... morefind a 24" X 18" marble slab to lay on the tabletop support. Antique Vintage Round Oak Butcher Block Table Cast Iron Base
This is an absolutely stunning round oak butcher block table with a beautiful cast iron base. The top measures 49" across. 155" in diameter and 1 3/4" wide. The total height with the base is 29" The top has few imperfections. But there is one small prominent stain or black mark on the table which I have included in the pictures. I chose not to make any changes(sanding, staining, sealing) to the top as it has the perfect imperfections. The base has the original reddish/brown paint. It would be very easy to paint it the color of your choice. There is light surface rust on the legs of the base. This is a very unique piece. I've never seen a round butcher block table top and I don't think the pictures do it justice. I don't know the time period of this table or if the top originally came with the base. This table does have the labeling on the underside of the table. I understand the Tyden lever was used exclusively by Hastings Furniture Company. These tables have three parts. The top, base and the extension leaves( we do not have the leaves for this table) The top shares the beauty of the design and markings of the base. Each half goes through a separate process. Until"joined" by the Tyden lock in the finishing room, where the halves are matched so that the markings on the completed top will match. Vintage Solid Wood Pedestal Table. 45" Round& 30" High. Table has option to add a leaf but there is not one. Don't know the type of wood that this is made of but the coloring is in the family of maple. Walnut& darker wood tones. Base& pedestal are both a more solid color as opposed to the shades on the surface of the table. This was handed down from grandparents& is approx 75+ yrs old? Eclectic, elegant "Empire" dining table, base from turn of century (I guess)
Elegant. Charming pedestal, legs and top support, I would guess from late 1890s or early 20th c. are decorated in the Empire style. To this its previous owners, a couple of artists who are now gone, added a split plywood plank top painted off-red. The table can open to accommodate leaves- except there aren't any. Gorgeous Antique wormy wood top FARM - style dining table with carved base.
Wow! HEAVY. Solid, with some carvings and the top is burly and fabulous. This table has been in the family for decades. Sadly, as the house it lived in got sold so must the table and other items. It was originally purchased from an antique dealer in Mexico. Came from a wealthy family home there. Begging for benches around it! Seats 12 or more easily. In having someone look at the wood I could not get a definite answer of the type. We are nearly certain it is not mesquite and it could be mahogany but birch is what the grain looks like a bit. Difficult to say. The table was purchased for much more than the asking price here and then had to be shipped. The table is in good condition. Cloudy spots in the images are from the flash of the camera. The table color is the darker pictures. I've included the lighter ones in order to see the table ... moredetails better. I apologize for the pictures. The table is currently in a climate controlled locker and the lighting is pathetic with no electric to plug into. Measures 104.5" by 35" by 30.5" tall.
