This auction is for three very old sets of plow tines. These old fella's time have come to an end in the plow field. But still have plenty of use to go in the way of art and deco. I have done no restoration to these items, just in case the customer wants this rustic look that can only be done by mother nature. These would make for a great deco piece in the lawn or garden. Actually anywhere, now that I think about it. Here in the Ozarks people use them for garden accent pieces and fence decor. These could be used in great industrial art pieces, coat racks and tack hangers in the barn or garden. I have found no cracks or breaks in the tines. They are in surprisingly very good shape despite their age. I can not find any identifying maker's marks on this item without removing the patena. Industrial Age" heavy duty, early American piece of farm and garden equipment; ready for decorative presentation or old time use. Offered here is an original(circa 1930-40) rugged, galvanized steel REEVES farm bucket, with the original durable bail handle. The early milking parlor pail maintains that strong quality, seen with REEVES products; having those heavy seams and tough rivets. The vintage farm, watering, feed or garden bucket appears to be roughly four gallons, with the steel bucket standing 10 1/2" height x 12 3/8" top diameter x 9 5/8" base diameter. The vintage REEVES galvanized bucket is in super solid, very good condition; being a presentation worthy farm compliment. The pail shows strong steel, holding liquids with no concerns. Great antique/vintage metal bucket with awesome blue paint. Wonderful patina with rust. Scuffs, marks, etc typical of age and use. Measures 8 7/8" tall x 5 3/4" at bottom and 6 3/4" at top. There are four tiny pinholes are edge of bottom, so this could not hold water. There are two seams on this bucket that run from top to bottom. Top edge is rolled/folded over. There is a round opening on one side near top(about 1/4" around) making me wonder if this was possibly use to hang on a tree and collect sap? This auction is for an old garden hand plow/ cultivator. This piece is in awesome working shape. But has lost it's handle to time many years ago. This unique piece would make a great addition to the garden or flowerbed as a vintage piece of décor or retooled with a handle and put back in to use if you have the need for some back breaking labor. I will list the dimensions of this cool old piece below: This item is 18 inches long. 11 1/2 inches wide, and 13 3/4 inches tall. It has 3 tines that are 1 1/2 inches wide and are 5 1/2 inches long. Description Vintage handforged garden rake. This is the first one that I have ever seen. It took a lot of time to make this piece. Note that some of the inner teeth are loose but still firmly attached to the rake body. Quite the unique piece. Approximate Measurements The rake is 16" long and 7" x 3" wide. 2# Markings None Condition Good condition for it's age with some moderate to severe surface rust and pitting. No breaks. It appears that someone has recently painted it. This design of pump has the rotating head design. Just losen the bolt and rotate the head and handle to which ever way you desire. This fine old piece would look great in your garden! Approximate Measurements The pump is 17" tall. The base has a 8" diameter. The handle is 18" long and the spout is 4" long. The only place that actually has any rust damage. If you look very closely in the last photo you can see about a 2" area along the very bottom rim, but it's not serious. Vintage garden/farm- a well bucket chain Well Bucket Chain C1870. French. Blacksmith made. Overall length 700. A beautiful example of the blacksmiths art. Made in three parts from wrought iron- there are many aspects of this long lost trade to be seen in this apparently simple piece of equipment- forging. Fire welding and heat treatment to name a few. Cleaned and polished- some rust pitting but overall sound. The metal has taken a lovely dark brown/charcoal colour over the years. Unlike the English type of well hook which is mounted on a long pole this one would have had a length of rope fastened through the eye of the end link. The handle of the bucket is clipped through the large spring shackle. When the bucket reaches the water it falls over and fills up with water because of the double links- when full it can be hauled back up to the ... moretop. A rare country bygone for a collector.
