ANTIQUE VICTORIAN 24" WIDE WROUGHT IRON GARDEN GATE & GOTHIC CAST IRON POST
Antique hinged garden fence with single post attached. overall width is 35" The post has a total height of 45" two 7 1/2" long spikes that would be stuck into the ground or cement and a 37 1/2" tall post with Victorian Gothic styling. The gate is 24" wide and 33" tall from end to end of the center. The hinge between gate and post is 3" wide and allows the gate to swing both ways. There is a stabilizing bar that helped to keep the post upright but the end is broken off and many years ago. Someone put an ornate Eastlake doorknob on the top of the gate handle. One of the cast rosettes on the upright iron post is partially missing. There is a coat of rust over a pitted iron surface but gate and post are well-made, solid and still functional. This might be just the perfect gate to transition to a backyard from ... morea narrow sideyard. Neoclassic Antique Victorian Vintage Cast Iron Garden Flower Pots Urn Planters
Not sure of the age. But has an old Victorian Vintage look and made out of a cast iron or pot metal. The top and bottom were casted separately and then bolted together( the bold is rusty and looks old) Can be used as a decorative planter or garden urns. It measure around 9 1/2” tall and 9” in diameter. It weights over4 pounds. At some point they were painted with a drab green to rust orange color and then beautifully aged to get a pastel old patina look. A natural pitted rough surface which is natural for cast iron. Very beautiful and classic!

THESE ARE NOT COPIES LIKE SOME YOU CAN BUY THESE ARE GENUINE. THESE WERE FITTED IN WHAT WE WOULD USE AS A SHED TODAY BUT BACK THEN IT WAS THE WASH-HOUSE. THE COPPER POT SAT ON OR IN A BRICK SURROUND WITH A FIRE GRATE UNDERNEATH WHERE YOU LIT YOUR FIRE. ADDED WATER TO THE COPPER& THEN WAITED FOR IT TO HEAT UP TO DO YOUR WASHING. IN 1982 I ACTUALLY REMOVED ONE OUT OF OUR SHED BUT THE COPPER WAS CAST IRON A CHEAPER OPTION, OBVIOUSLY NOW I REGRET THAT AS WE DO AS THIS WOULD OF BEEN A VERY NICE ORIGINAL FEATURE. VERY OLD FIGURE OF A BOY FOUND IN WHAT WAS ONCE THE GARDEN OF A VICTORIAN HOUSE
Found a few days ago in what was once the grounds of a victorian house. This was found in the area that would have been the garden while i was digging up an old copper watering can, see other listings.The figure looks to be an old garden ornnament and it looks like its a little french boy. The figure had been painted several times over,and this i guess protected it from major damage some light chips and the wording on base lavaron or lavroon cant quite make it out without removing paint which i dont want to do. This would cost a fortune in a specalist antique shop. i believe from what i ahve been told about the clothes this chap is dressed in that the figure is french made, around a hundred or more years ago. height is 29cms or 11.5 inches. the figure is some kind of pottery and certainly not chalk. i have been told it had been fired when ... moremade so porcelain type material rather than cheaper cast plaster chalk type figures that are more common. postage because of packaging and weight would be 8.00 uk overseas 18.00

It measures 29 inches in height. The top is 24 inches in length and 19 inches in depth. The sink has an enamel surface that has some obvious nicks and wear to the enamel from use over the years. It has the original soap holder and some other type of ring holder on the other side. The paint is an old green and appears to be the original paint when it was made. I could not find any makers mark or date on it but it is definitely American ... moremade from the late 1800s. There is no damage or repairs to the cast iron. I tried to find another one like this sink and i could not find one being sold or for sale anyhwere so it is a pretty rare piece of Americana. Available is a genuine Victorian cast iron planter. It would perfect either inside or out. We enjoyed this outside for many years. But would like to find it a new home. It is made of iron. Note the decorative scroll work in the center of the pot. They sure don't make'em like this anymore. It's very sturdy. As is to be expected, there is rust and faded paint. See photos. This look is perfect for those who admire the patina and charm of weathered items such as this. I find no cracks. I also find no maker's mark or hallmarks to identify the manufacturer of this wonderful antique pot. Here's the measurements: about 24 1/2 inches long to the end of the handles, about 3 inches wide and about 9 inches tall. Five heavy lengths of matching Victorian spiked wrought iron garden chain with 6 point cast iron stars. Original from the pathway to the front door of Gwydir Castle in Llanrwst. I bought these myself from the sale there in 1982 along with many other items. I have no use for these now so first time on the market since. Superb quality that would be hard to match today 4 lengths of Aprox 6”8 inches and one 6ft section but this has been cut at some time can easily put back together. The chains are very heavy quality wrought iron links with cast iron spikes(6 point stars 3.25 inches across) every 8 inches these have various losses to the end of some of the spikes. The links are Aprox 2 inches across. Weight Aprox 40Kg. Four of the lengths have been painted black in the past and the six foot section unpainted. True attic find from my 1897 Victorian farmhouse in the VA mountains. Chippy green paint over chippy yellow paint with rust spots. Much of the house had original yellow paint downstairs and the bedrooms had this original green paint. Based on the history of the house I would guess this item is from the1930's or earlier. And I lean towards 1920's or earlier. The exterior of the claw foot tub in the circa 1920's bathroom was originally painted this color green. About 14" W when open x 27" H. Amazing all original Victorian-era wrought iron plant stand. This sale is for the stand on the right side of the first photo.the other taller stand is sold. This one is chippy green and ripe with age.beautiful! It is highly ornate with twisted stems and extra curly base accents. The flower nut allows for fold-away storage. Measures 29 3/4" high with an 11 1/2" diameter base spread. An all-original gem!

Up for consideration is a fine pair of Antique Campagna form Cast Iron Miniature or Table Top or Garden Urns. They measure 9 3/4 inches tall by 8 1/2 inches wide. They have been painted silver some time ago. Each carries a Victorian number"3" cast in the base. Possibly salesman samples or factory size or Identification marks. Similar urns in the historical record do not have this number cast in the base. These date about 1890's or so. Whereas other examples extend further into the early 20th century. FANCY VICTORIAN CAST AND WROUGHT IRON GARDEN GATE
Offering this wonderful Victorian era Iron Gate in todays Auction. It has both cast iron and hand wrought iron pieces. The wrought iron being the fancy ends and scrolls across the top. When we purchased this the bottom rail was all rotted out so we had it replaced with a piece of angle iron. Very nice 19th C Gate! Measures 53" wide and is 49" Tall on the tallest side. Antique Victorian Cast Iron metal small garden fence GATE. Good/ Fair condition. Rustic, has some rust holes on top bar, broke weld on cross upper bar section. Missing a acorn finial on on side post.
