Vintage, casement window stays salvaged from the windows of a former cream production plant(see last photos) in Southeastern Pennsylvania. The plant was built during the 1890's, however, these most likely replaced the originals sometime during the middle of the previous century. Each stay is made of solid steel. And was originally brass plated. Much of the plating wore off over the years leaving them with a nice, distressed finish. The amount of plating varies from part to part(see"Group photos" to compare) If you are not familiar with this type of hardware. It keeps the window open at a specified distance from the sill. When you wish to open the window, loosen the knob by simply turning it in a counter clockwise direction. Open the window as far as you like, and once you wish to lock it in place, simply turn the knob clockwise until can't turn anymore. This will prevent wind from moving the window. At the point of salvage. The stays were painted, dirty, and rusty(see"Prior to restoration" photo) Since then, we've spent hours removing the paint, cleaning the dirt and rust from the outside of each stay, and greasing them to facilitate their movement. All stays are in great shape with no breaks. Cracks, deep scratches, or gouges. All moveable parts move smoothly. This interesting quilt looks like a frosty window pane! It and has medium weight batting so the quilting really stands out! It is about 62" x 77" The border blocks have some wear as seen in pictures, back of quilt is white, all cotton, machine pieced and hand quilted at about 8 stitches per inch, but looks like more since they create an deeper and interesting textured design. Item: Faux Painted 6 pane"Shabby-Chic" Style Vintage Window Description: This auction is for a 6 pane Wooden-Window. I am a Faux Painter and painted this window to look old and very vintage. Overall. The color is various shades of Mauve with streaks of gold. Mauve is a light shade of burgundy. Not quite pink at all. And not purple. The window appears very aged with some spots more worn than others. Basically, the window appears as if it was once painted in mauve, then someone painted it in gold and what you are left with is a combination of both as time and weather did its thing to it. This method of faux painting is called“antiquing. Nothing is too uniform overall. I have made some spots appear more worn than others. Some areas are lightly crackled. Both sides are done using the same method but not completely identical. Lastly, ... moreafter the painting was done, I applied a thin coat of satin finish polyurethane for durability. It is NOT very shiny. It’s a very low luster sheen. In time, it will become even duller. The goal is to make the window appear as it aged naturally but have the confidence that the window is sound and is not going to fall apart since it really is a 30 year old window and not a 90 year old window as it now appears. Originally, the window is about from 1970. The window comes with a locking catch as well. It is also“antiqued. Many people use these windows as a decorative piece. They attach circle hooks and hang them with old chains in front of a natural light source, use them as cabinet doors or whatever you wish. The dimensions are as follows: 30” high and 19” wide. Each pane of glass measures 8.5” high and a bit more than 7” wide. The weight of the window alone is approx. 7 pounds. Other than that, I hope my pictures are worth a thousand words. This window does have several layers of paint. One side is in almost perfect condition painted with an off white cream color with no loose glaze or peeling paint. The other outside of the window is white with some loose glaze and peeling as to be expected. Vintage Antique 6 Pane Wooden Window with Mirror Panes.
Vintage window with mirrored panes installed. This one is a six pane window. All the old lead paint has been removed and the frame was then painted a light maroon. After that. I painted it white with a crackle finish to allow some of the maroon to show through. This gives it the appearance of being weathered. This particular one has a 5/8" x 7 1/4" shelf installed for knick knacks.Key hole slots are installed on the back to allow it to hang flat on your wall. I make these windows as I get them with many variations, such as color, antiquing style, shelves, planter boxes etc. and sell them at craft fairs and flea markets. You will love it! Window measures 28" wide x 24" tall x 7 1/4" out from the wall. I will ship it free using parcel post to help keep the price down, it takes a little longer to get.

Antique/Vintage Architectural Window Sash From 1800's Farmhouse.Some Wavy Glass
This is a really neat 4 pane window from an old farmhouse that was built in the early 1800's. I was there when it was torn down and the main part of the house was a log cabin that they had put hand planed poplar siding over. I'm guessing from talking with the owner of the old house that the windows were put in in the late 1800's around 1870 or 1880. I have 7 of them. All very similar in appearance and condition. The glass has wavy spots that are really interesting. The wood frame is very solid. The window could actually be cleaned up and reused! No rot or insect damage. The window frame is 28" X 28 3/4" X 1-3/8" The actual windows are 25-5/8" X 5-1/2" The nine pics shown are all of the same window.

Vintage Rustic Country Chic Window with Latch
Very neat old vintage window that was on hinges that swung open. Latch remains on the piece. Glass is in very good condition with no chips or scratches. The glass is old with ripples if you look down at a certain angle. I tried to capture that with the camera. But it doesn't look the same as in person. It was painted white and yellow at one time as you can tell by the remaining paint. The back of the piece is mostly yellow. It measures 38 inches high, by 33.5 inches wide, by 1.5 inches deep. Mortise& tenon construction! Bubble glass! Wonderful distressed wood. Great patina and very nice old white paint! And beautiful wavy. Bubble glass in each pane! Windows are hard to find with this beautiful old glass. Windows measure 32" x 37" and the panes are each 9"x 8" Just a great old cottage window! These windows are ready for any project or decoration. Up for auction we have this Vintage Ornate Spider type 9 Panel Oval Window. This is large measuring approx. 30 1/2" by 46" and is 2" wide. It has a coat of chippy white paint. Wouldn't be hard to strip and stain or keep as is for a shabby look. No cracks or breaks to the glass! This can either been used in a remodel or simply hung for a decorative piece.
