Vintage, casement window stays salvaged from the windows of a former cream production plant(see last photos) in Southeastern Pennsylvania. The plant was built during the 1890's, however, these most likely replaced the originals sometime during the middle of the previous century. Each stay is made of solid steel. And was originally brass plated. Much of the plating wore off over the years leaving them with a nice, distressed finish. The amount of plating varies from part to part(see"Group photos" to compare) If you are not familiar with this type of hardware. It keeps the window open at a specified distance from the sill. When you wish to open the window, loosen the knob by simply turning it in a counter clockwise direction. Open the window as far as you like, and once you wish to lock it in place, simply turn the knob clockwise until can't turn anymore. This will prevent wind from moving the window. At the point of salvage. The stays were painted, dirty, and rusty(see"Prior to restoration" photo) Since then, we've spent hours removing the paint, cleaning the dirt and rust from the outside of each stay, and greasing them to facilitate their movement. All stays are in great shape with no breaks. Cracks, deep scratches, or gouges. All moveable parts move smoothly. Vintage wood windows/doors, Lot 4, 1" & 3/4" thick, 25/28" x 45/47",1901, 2 Pair
Offered is a lot of 4 window frames. Or two matching pairs. Windows came from a home built in 1901. Pick up only- Seattle area near Space Needle or can deliver for mileage fee of $50.00 within 25 mile radius of Space Needle. Ferry tolls additional if needed. Payment required prior to pick up or delivery. One pair of the window frames are 3/4 inch thick and each frame has two panels of glass. All sections of glass in both panels is old wavy glass and the glass appears perfect with no cracks nor starts of them in any of the 4 panels. Few areas could use update on putty. This 3/4 inch thick pair is 47 1/8 inches tall by 25 1/8 inches wide. The glass area-top sections are 18 by 20 3/4 inch approx. and the lower sections are 22 by 20 3/4 inch approx. Original latches(matching) on both frames and hinge portions. The other similar but not identical ... moreone pair is 1 inch thick and one frame is missing its glass. Both frames measure 28 3/4 inch wide by 45 1/4 inch tall by 1 inch thick frame. The glass area is approx. 24 inches by 40 inches. Identical original latches and portions of the hinges are on the frames. The frame with the original wavy glass. Needs putty and I have secured the getting loose glass into the frame to avoid breakage with a nail& cardboard you will see in the photo. There are no cracks, nor starts of them, evident on the glass in this panel. The frame with the missing glass has a matching latch, is same size, and is included because of this and maybe useful. One area of the wood frame wiggles abit and may need reinforcements. All windows have been stored indoors and in a dry environment for many years. I see no rot or wood deterioration. Other than loose joints in the missing glass 1" frame. I believe the wood type is clear fir wood. Thank you

You are bidding on 3 cast iron in-wall window weights/counterweights. They came out of original sash windows from a house built in 1924 so they are about 90 years old. There are 2 different styles. The two shown in the picture together have the numbers 5 and 2 printed on them. Not sure about the 2. Could be a 3) One weighs 5 lb 5 oz. and the other weighs 5 lb 8 oz. Cottage Swing Double Windows Art Deco Mission Style Vintage Pair Window
Here is a very cool set of wood and glass windows that swing open and shut. When they are swung together they interlock with one side having a recess and the other side having the wood fit into it. I probably didn't describe that very well but look at the pictures. There are 12. This would not be an air tight interlock like they make today of course. These are probably from the 1920's-30's I'm guessing from the style. Maybe earlier. They have a quaint cottage look to me. Please see the measurements because they are on the small side(compared to today's supersize everything) They could be hung inside a house as a sort of divider at a bar or in the conventional way but they wouldn't be very weather worthy. They are painted brown. It looks like a primer underneath and it doesn't look like they have been painted more ... morethan once by my eye. I don't know what type of wood is underneath the paint. There is wear to the paint. I could also see these hung in a childs playhouse. Or I could see these in a custom made greenhouse. These would add the architectural touch to make where ever you hung them. I don't see anything more than normal wear. The hinges are a little stiff but do work. There is a little rust on the locking piece of hardware at the bottom. There must have been a type of pull handle but there is nothing there now. See the photo with the tiny hole(where the handle probably went about mid way) There is wear to the paint. Please see all 12 pictures. These will take me a fair amount of money on packaging materials to get them in one piece to their final destination. And I will ship the two pieces in separate boxes. 2 Vintage Stays for Wood Windows
I have two old window stays for wood windows. If you have old wood windows in your home. You may have these. They are thru the frame of the window. In the window track is a hole. As you close the window, these have a spring and will go into the hole to hold the window up. Usually 2-3 holes in the window frame so you can raise or lower windows to various places and they will stay open. Work very well. They are 3 1/4" long. Are worn from use. FIVE VINTAGE DIAMOND PANE GLASS WHITE WINDOWS
There are two pair of windows with slightly different measurements. One pair is 36 1/2"H x 15 1/2"W and the others are 36 1/2"H x 18"W. The glass is in good condition with no cracks. The latch locks are still attached and one pair has the slide bolt to keep the window closed. The windows will need to be repainted. There is a single diamond pane window that measures 36"H x 15 1/2"W, no cracked panes but need repainting. This is a slide out with the rod still attached but part of the latch lock is missing although the slide lock bolts are attached. This is being listed as"For Pickup Only" please email with questions. Hinges and Bolts from Windows Vintage Early 1900s
These hinges and latches came from the windows of our detached garage. Which was built in the early 1900’s, sometime before 1935. We are not experts, but they appear to be steel, and some of them are brass plated. Nearly all have been painted, with various amounts of paint remaining on the hardware and some rust(see photos) The rust does not affect the integrity of the pieces. Here are some approximate measurements: 13 hinges 3” high x 3” wide. 11 with double headed pins, 2 with single headed pins. 6 hinges 2 7/8” high x 3” wide. 1 with double headed pin, the rest with single. 11 bolts 6” long. With 2 mounting brackets each. 2 bolts 4 1/2” long with 2 mounting brackets each. 6 strikes(4 tall. 2 short) Please examine photos. As they are part of description. Contact me with any questions.
