Antiquarian cast iron farm/garden hardware keepsake for the farm house decorative accent, the collection or rustic restoration project. Offered here is an original(circa 1890-1920) cast iron Baby Chick, that has apprently lost her mother hen. Not knowing the exacting history behind this wonderful piece of cast iron; the little chick may have been part of an advertising sign or display at the regional grain store or farm/livestock jobber? The antiquarian farm animal(4 1/8" height x 2 1/8" base diameter) is open at the bottom, resembling what one may find with early fence post and garden gate finials. The early cast iron hatchling could possibly be put to use as a door stop; being quite hefty for its size. 10 Vintage 1920's Exterior House Shutters Half Moon Design Up for au ction are 5 pair s of vintage wooden shutters in their original paint. Each has a darling half-moon design cu t into it. Removed from a home built around 1900 and updated in the 1920's with these shutters. They were removed in the 1940's and have been stored since then. Eight shutters meas ure approximately 14" x 54" x 1 1/8" and two measure 14" x 42" x 1 1/8. Each one has a pair of hinges on them. The larger shutters weight about 11 pounds each and the shorter ones are 9 pounds each. Shipping is quoted via UPS. They can also be picked up free near Rochester. New York.

Vintage 1920's 3 Pane Cyress Window with glass from old home in New Orleans
This auction is for 1 Vintage 3 pane Cypress window with glass from 1920's This window was removed from my home dated built in 1927. All the millwork. Siding, and doors are cypress, so the windows are cypress also. The windows are weathered from sitting and from being on the house in need of some painting. Most of the putty was cracked and falling out of this window so I removed the remaining putty to have access to the glass panes.The 2 end panes still have a few of the metal wedges that held the glass in the frame in them. If you purchase this frame. When you unpack it and remove the shrink wrap to get to the foam board make sure the window is lying flat because the center pane may fall out. It has no putty holding it and I am guessing that the panes were hand cut and not quite tight in the frame. The panes DO fit right but not tightly. ... moreI had planned to make a message center with this frame putting magnetic chalkboard in one part. Cork bulletin in the center and white board on the last pane. I went with another frame for this idea. The frame can be hung horizontally or vertically. One side is mostly stripped of paint. This is a frame where very little work would be needed to complete a project. Vintage 1920's 6 Pane Cyress Window with glass from old home in New Orleans
This auction is for 1 Vintage 6 pane Cypress window with glass from 1920's This window was removed from my home dated built in 1927. All the millwork. Siding, and doors are cypress, so the windows are cypress also. The windows are weathered from sitting and from being on the house in need of some painting. This windoe has all it's glass. None of them are loose even though some of the old putty is missing. Putty is missing from the center bottom pane. I tried to get a good picture of how deep the glass sits in these frames. It's 1 inch. Each pane measures 10 X 14 if your using it for pictures you can place the large pics in or if your using 8 x 10's you can add them matted. The total window size is 34 1/4" by 31 1/2" by 1 3/4" With the glass this window weighs about 17 pounds. I tried to load many pictures of ... moremany sides of the frame. My girlfriend and I started purchasing old 1900-1930s windows from houses and buildings in Chicago. We thought it would be cool to make them into decorative pieces you can hang in your home. We have many different styles. Some have been painted(white) on both sides and some painted on one side only. Condition ranges from really good condition to a few that need replacement glass. Most of the glass has been replaced previously but some may have original glass still left in them. Here is a cool little casement window that was removed from a home that was built in the 1920's. It comes complete with hardware. The paint is flaking and loose, and the glazing is missing in spots. Antique Vintage Window Sash 6-Lite 21 7/8" X 34" 1920's (6B)
Here is a double-hung sash that was removed from a home that dated from the 1920's. It has 6 divided lites. The exterior side has flaky paint and dried glazing. The interior side looks to be stained and/or shellacked with some scratches and wear. One pane is cracked and the frame is slightly separated at one corner. Please check all photos for condition.
