The frame(2” thick) is painted on both sides and is sturdy with no rotting or other condition issues. In the frame. It measures 65”w x 16”h and the measurement for the glass only is 60”w x 11 1/2”h. The border of the window is textured glass and the foliate pattern is done in a mix of textured and glue chip glass which is a technique where they sand blast the glass first. Then“paint” it with glue, then put it into a low fired kiln so when it’s fired, it actually“rips” the glass and creates the pattern. The lead veins are strong with no breakage or bowing. This is one of many windows that I will be selling that have been removed from an old community center that is being renovated in Belmont. Texas. WONDERFUL Old Architectural WINDOW Textured& Clear Glass Chippy White. THIS IS AN OLD ARCHITECTURAL GLASS WINDOW WITH A GREAT DESIGN THAT IS FRAMED IN A CHIPPY WHITE WOOD FRAME. This window has a nice design in a smaller size with 9 glass panes. The wood frame has the original white paint on one side and brown stain on the back that is chippy and peely with paint loss and wear for a perfect patina. The center diamond shaped glass pane is clear. And the other 8 surrounding glass panes are textured glass with a star pattern. There is some missing window putty, as I show, but it is solid. There is some old paint on the glass itself. If you want to hang it we can add a hanger to the back. This would be fabulous in any shabby chic, romantic cottage or French Country home.
