Up for bid I offer a set of(10) vintage cast iron swing arm sash locks. I do not restore or am I a collector. I have been told they may be from around the 1870s or 1880s and have an acorn design. If I am wrong I stand corrected. The conditions are very good with springs in place and working. There is some paint in places as you can see with one that had been stripped. Please review my photos closely as they are part of the description and show condition very well. I offer these out as is and as you see them. All are the same in size and make. Antique Vintage Brass Casement Window Sash Hook Swing Arm Lock Black Handle Door
As a vintage and antique hardware nerd. I am really not even sure how to describe these, I just know that I love them! It seems that they were originally designed to be used to latch a casement type window. They are brass with black coated handles. The black substance appears to be rubber. But I can't really tell, it is hard and shiny almost like bakelite or some form of heavy rubberized plastic. The end forms a hook that would keep a brass bar from being raised on an antique casement window. I also think that it could be used as a door latch. Or something to keep a chest or antique type freezer closed. Please note that one is left facing and one is right facing if they are both to be latched facing downward. I have tried to give you photos showing all angles. The length from the end of the handle to the point of the hook is approximately ... more5" The height from top of the hook to bottom of the hook is little over 2.5 inches. The depth is approximately 2.5 inches. And it attaches by two screws. Three of the screws are still here, one screw is not, but it takes a standard screw. Any antique dated hardware is always in short supply so don’t pass these 3 up. The condition is consistent with their age and all have dings scratches and wear from usage. All have been given a quick cleaning and wiped down with an oiled rag. They all work although they all could use a final cleaning and oiling. Just for the record the keepers ... moreare original to the locks and are not reproductions made to look old. These work by pushing down on the lever to swing into the lock position and then pushing down on the lever to swing back in to the unlock position. These have a nice smooth darkened patina that I left like that by choice because once removed you can’t get it back. If you like the way they look do a final clean up on them and clear coat them and they will stay as pictured for many more years. If you prefer a bare metal look then use a wire brush or better yet a wire brush on a dremel or drill. It’s hard to read on some of them but they all have a paten date of 1875. The lock is about 2 3/8” long x 1 ¼” wide and the keeper is about 2 ¼” long x ¼” wide. Free first class shipping! Victorian Swing Arm Sash Lock with Porcelain Knob
This is a sash lock that I had salvaged from an antique window. The sash lock does not match the rest of my current locks; however upon purchase the lock was covered in multiple layers of paint(took hours and patients to remove the paint) The lock is cast Iron and there is rust. And appears to be of the East Lake design. I cannot determine the year, but I would guess to the time frame would be 1870's- 1890's(probably earlier in that time period because of the porcelain) The main swing arm is missing the narrow metal stays that fully secures the locking, but the arm does swing and work. There is little bit of residual paint left over. The Catch plate measures: 2" L x 1" W x 3/8" H and the Latch measures: 2 3/8" L x 7/8" W x 1 1/2" H.

Hard to find. It is very rusty. But the parts all slide together fine. There is only one curtain rod, maybe someone out there has the match for it. Or, it might look good over a single shabby chic window, with a nice lace curtain? It is about 17 3/4 inches. Extending to about 24 inches, give or take.
