If the quantity above is less than 8, this indicates that 1 or more pairs sold. What an amazing opportunity! Lovely. Antique French windows salvaged from a former cream production plant(see last photo) in Southeastern Pennsylvania. The plant was built during the 1890's and many of the windows were original to the plant's construction. Although a few windows may have been made after that period; all are solid wood. Each window is made of solid pine and has 9 glass lites. No hardware included. These windows were originally installed as double-hung pairs. If you buy several windows with the intention of installing them as pairs. Please let us know after the auction. Each window is ... morepainted white on the interior side and green on the exterior side. We could either completely strip the paint. Or prep the surface of the windows for a fresh coat of paint. Email us with a description of what you would like done. The quantity of windows you need, and we'll give you a quote. We found one pair of windows that were stripped at some point and finished with a clear coat of lacquer(see 2nd to last photo) We've included a photo to give you an idea of how these windows look under the paint. The lites are secured with old-fashioned glazier's putty on the exterior(green) side. The putty on the majority of the windows is in great shape. And will not need replacement for many years. However, if a lite were to break once you install the windows; you would need to completely scrape off the old putty, which could be as hard as cement, remove the glazing points, put in the replacement lite, reinsert the points, add new putty, and allow to dry. Not only is it a long, tedious, and messy job to replace a lite, but if you don't have experience doing it, the results may look awful. Penn Antique Restoration. 34"x79" Antique Victorian Door w/Tombstone Wavy Glass Lites. Gorgeous. Antique, exterior door salvaged from an old home in Northeastern Iowa. The door is made of solid Douglas Fir and is painted on both sides. The door has 2. Arched"tombstone" style windows with ORIGINAL, wavy glass-incredible to think that it survived for well over 100 years! The glass has bubbles, dimples, and the charming, uneven"wavy" surface that only antique glass has. Below the windows are 2, vertical raised panels. Also, notice the beautiful, bold applied(raised) molding on the exterior side of the door-what a great accent! Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. However. At another point in the door's life, someone added a strip of wood to the top to even it's height to 79 3/8" We could even the height to 78 1/2" or cut it even shorter, or properly add to the height so that it wouldn't be so obvious once you repaint the door- email us for a quote. The glass is secured with glazier's putty on the interior side of the door. Most of the putty is still intact. But a significant amount is missing. Glazier's putty is inexpensive and could be purchased at any hardware store. Many carpenters and window installers could do the job within an hour or two, and once cured(hardened) the putty could be painted. Lot sale of 13 Pcs 8.25" x 11.25" Antique Door Beveled Glass Lites/ Window Panes. Light Green Tinted Glass for 11 pcs. Clear Glass For 2 pcs. There is still dried white paint specks on the glass border edges. There are fine scratches to a lot of the glass panes but not deep enough to really stand out that bad. The border edges have small chips to them but all would be covered by the glass retaining wood trim. Of all 13 glass panes there is one that has bigger chips around the edge and it was still covered by the glass borders wood trim. Somebody must of replaced some glass at one time because there is 11 panes that are light green in color and 2 panes that are very light tan. If you look at a single pane of glass you dont really see colored tint of the glass but when you stack on top of each other the green of the glass becomes ... morebolder. When all 11 are stacked it is a much darker green and if it is one pane I really dont see the green tint. All the glass panes have no cracks or chips in the glass that will be visible after they are install with glass finish moldings. The glass does have some small air bubbles within them. As the last picture shows the original door that I removed the glass panes from which had rotten wood to most of the door.Also if you desire the wooden trim item strips they can be added to shipment fro the price of the additional weight when added to shipment. The weight of the glass alone before shipping is close to 25 lbs so its not a light shipping package when completely boxed and ready for shipment. Penn Antique Restoration. ~ 4 available ~ Antique 27"x34" French Sash Windows w/9 Glass Lites. Although there are 4 available. The list price is for 1 window. If the quantity above is less than 4, this indicates that 1 or more sold. Lovely. Antique French windows salvaged from a former cream production plant(see last photo) in Southeastern Pennsylvania. The plant was built during the 1890's and many of the windows were original to the plant's construction. Although a few windows may have been made after that period; all are solid wood. Each window is made of solid pine and has 9 glass lites. No hardware included. Each window is painted white on the interior side and green on the exterior side. We could either completely strip the paint. Or prep the surface of the windows for a fresh coat of paint. Email us with a description ... moreof what you would like done. The quantity of windows you need, and we'll give you a quote. We found one pair of windows that were stripped at some point and finished with a clear coat of lacquer. We've included a photo to give you an idea of how these windows look under the paint(see 3rd photo) Condition: The windows of the plant were replaced with energy efficient windows. Not because they were in bad shape or defective. All of the frames(sashes) are in good shape with no breaks, cracks, or serious flaws. All glass is intact. The lites are secured with old-fashioned glazier's putty on the exterior(green) side. The condition of the putty varies from window to window. Some of the putty is weak and brittle. And some windows have sections of putty missing. Worst case, brittle or missing putty must be replaced with new putty which could be purchased online or at any hardware store.
