Old timey catalog from the Fred J. Meyers Mfg. Co. of Hamilton. Ohio. This is No. 69. Might date from the 1910s or 20s as the company began in 1850. This 64 page catalog is contained by paper covers and is illustrated throughout. The company made door and window protective grilles of wire. They ranged in size from 2 or so feet to 10 feet. They made partitions and cages for banks along with such item as brass rails. They fabricated cast iron window guards and sheet steel shutters. How about a huge flywheel guard 12 feet high? This is a lot of 8 original Antique Victorian cast iron and bronze"eagle claw" window sash locks. This exquisitely ornametal window hardware is from the 1880's. The patented Eastlake style 1886. Eagle Claw double hung sash locks were made by the H. B. Ives Company of New Haven, Connecticut.They are original antiques which are made of cast iron and have beautiful bronze handles with a patented dual action lock function. Two original Antique Victorian cast iron and bronze"eagle claw" window sash locks only no keepers/ catches. Matching original or reproduction keepers can be found online. This exquisitely ornametal window hardware is from the 1880's. The patented Eastlake style 1886. Eagle Claw double hung sash locks were made by the H. B. Ives Company of New Haven, Connecticut. They are original antiques which are made of cast iron and have beautiful bronze handles with a patented dual action lock function. The'arm' is a feathered wing that locks into a(claw on the‘keeper’ or catch not included) The intricately patterned bronze arms or handles turn with ease and are in excellent working condition. 22 MATCHING CAST IRON WINDOW LATCHES W/BRONZE HANDLE/VINTAGE VICTORIAN STYLE. that's right 22 MATCHED latch sets they were polished a few years ago and are in very good condition they do not come with screws and have a few lightly rusted spots that should clean up nicely with a little 00 steel wool but nothing detractive at all. they are marked Pat'd June 11-89 on the back and measure approximately 2 by 2/12 inches in size when latched. Antique, window lock and keeper made during the late 1800's. The body of the lock and the keeper are made of solid, heavy, thick, cast iron, and the turn-lever of the lock is made of solid bronze. Please note that the color of the parts is actually a dark gray color(gunsmoke" Due to the lighting. The parts appear lighter in color and brighter in the photos. Lock and keeper#1 were salvaged from an old home in Northeastern Pennsylvania. And#2 was salvaged from Central Maine. At the point of salvage, 1 was found dirty and rusty(see last photo) We cleaned and ... morepolished each part, allowing the true beauty of the design to show forth. There are still traces of rust, but that only adds to their great, aged look. 2 was cleaned within the past year by the person that we acquired it from. He prefers his hardware with a bit of patina, and didn't remove the tarnish from the bronze.
