This exquisitely ornametal window hardware is from the 1880's. The patented Eastlake style 1886. Eagle Claw double hung sash locks were made by the H. B. Ives Company of New Haven, Connecticut. My father had a hardware store from 1946 to 1983. When he closed it. He brought the merchandise to his house where it has been since. He recently passed away and it is now my task to sell this merchandise. For sale is 1 Brass plated cast steel/ iron transom window pull catch. The catches are unused and the finish is in fair condition with some checking and slight rust especially underneath. The catch measures 1-1/4" x 2-1/4" x 1/2" and 2-5/8" from tip to end of pull and about 1" high overall. The pull is 1/4" thick. For sale is an unusual circa 1890's window latch. it's constructed of solid brass with a cast iron spring. The latch and spring still work very well and have a good snap. I was unable to find another latch just like this one and believe it to be an obscure design. Mounting base on latch measures 2-1/2" X 11/16" Being sold as is. 2 Antique Victorian Window Latches Cast Iron With Brass Swivel Pins
2 very nice old window latch sets made of cast iron with heavy duty brass pins. They are fairly large and heavy measuring 2-1/2" wide. 3-1/4" deep, and about 1-1/8" tall to the top of the brass pins. They both work very well. When the round handle is lifted a rectangular tab comes out of a slot so the latch can be opened( rotated) There is a second slot that it drops into to hold the latch in the opened position( see last picture) These are in as found with some great patina. There is no maker's mark on them, but they came in a box with other latches with 1872& 1879 patents. These could probably work very well as cabinet or trunk latches also.

Any antique dated hardware is always in short supply so don’t pass these 3 up. The condition is consistent with their age and all have dings scratches and wear from usage. All have been given a quick cleaning and wiped down with an oiled rag. They all work although they all could use a final cleaning and oiling. Just for the record the keepers ... moreare original to the locks and are not reproductions made to look old. These work by pushing down on the lever to swing into the lock position and then pushing down on the lever to swing back in to the unlock position. These have a nice smooth darkened patina that I left like that by choice because once removed you can’t get it back. If you like the way they look do a final clean up on them and clear coat them and they will stay as pictured for many more years. If you prefer a bare metal look then use a wire brush or better yet a wire brush on a dremel or drill. It’s hard to read on some of them but they all have a paten date of 1875. The lock is about 2 3/8” long x 1 ¼” wide and the keeper is about 2 ¼” long x ¼” wide. Free first class shipping!
