Solid brass banjo style side sash lock with a oil rubbed bronze finish. For use with double hung windows. The side sash lock is anchored to the side of the window frame. When the lever is turned the stop plate applies pressure to the sash thus locking the lower sash window in place and in any position. Alot of these items are in a marked boxes and have hand writing on the from the old school fountain pens or even quill pens.not real sure. Thank you for visiting one of my auctions. This auction features: 5 Vintage Window Casement Vintage Sash Stay Adjuster Operator Brass Finish. The rod is approx. 12" There is an extra one which I am including as well which does not have the circular knob or the rectangular part on the slider part. These are fairly heavy for their size and appear to be well made. A couple of the pivot points are a little sticky. They do have wear from age and use. I have not tried to clean them-they may brighten up if this done-I am not sure. I gladly combine shipping. Please let me know when you have finished shopping and I will send you a revised invoice. Twelve vintage casement fasteners still in their original box& wrapping paper. Made by Skillman MfGg. Co. Trenton NJ, USA. The part number is 531 x. Not sure what year these were made but the last picture was taken from the Skillman 1956 catalog. Each wrapped package contains the fastener, a mortise strike plate and a envelope of screws.
