The main use for these is as window lifts but I have seen these used as a drawer pulls also. AMAZING NOS (11) Matching Antique Fancy Victorian Iron Window Sash Lifts Pulls
How often do you find NOS items like this. I bought a couple of boxes full of old hardware at an estate sale. These still have that bronze looking stuff on them to keep them from rusting. It eventually wears off leaving the cast iron look. Best I can count. There is enough original screws to do all but 2 or 3 of them, anyway, there not all there but more there than missing. If the rest of the box was there, it probably had a makers name on it, very few of these were stamped but the old box is completely gone. Let me know if you have any questions. Up for auction here is 3 cast iron fancy Victorian window sash locks. These types of locks or hardware are getting harder and harder to find as they are disappearing very quickly. These locks are in the same condition as when I took them off the windows many years ago. I did not attempt to clean them up as I will let the new owner do as he likes with them. If you look closely at my picture the word"CHAMPION' appears on the top of the lock. These 3 locks are all in working order. All you have to do is do a little clean up and a little oil and you will have 3 mighty fine locks in working order from the Victorian era. Here are twelve(12) antique Victorian era window sash pulls. I believe they are copper but I am no expert. They all have the same footprint and have the same pattern. However. 5 of them have a bend where the pull comes off from the base. I show this in photo 10 comparing the most extreme bend with a normal one. The others with bends vary in degree of bend but are less than one shown in photo 10. I'm not sure if these bends are on purpose or where altered at a later date. They are super strong and don't know how they would have been bent after manufacturing. In photo 11. I show you one that is bent where the screw hole is. Here is a gorgeous set of 4(8 total pieces) Victorian window sash locks. They are signed Payson Mfg Co. and have a patent date of 1876 on them. I'm not good with metals. They are cast iron and have a very pleasing Victorian flower-filled vase design. T he arms swing easily into the keepers to lock into place.
