Mid-century wall art by C. Jere. Signed 1982 ~ Falling Leaves ~ solid brass bowed 3 branches soldered together with delicate cascading gold brass leaves similar to the 3 leaf bamboo. 44" long x 19" across, this has extended brass rings with tufted cotton for safely securing on the wall. In very good to excellent condition, there are some leaves that are bent but can be carefully bent back into shape and it needs a little light polishing with a soft rag. Signed original C. Jere Globe Map Earth Mid Century Wall Sculpture Signed 1981 Excellent Condition Jere Globe Map Earth Mid Century Wall Sculpture Signed 1981 Excellent Condition. This Curtis Jere wall art sculpture is probably as close to its original finish as possible. When this piece came to us. It was not broken, but was badly scratched(see photos) so we hired a former professional artist to restore it. He worked for many years in central California as a commissioned artist working in metal sculpture among other media. We will provide a certificate of restoration from the artist as well as his appraisal of its retail value of $1500 for insurance purposes. This sculpture has been signed on the front by Jere and retains its original factory sticker on the back. This particular sculpture does not appear to come up for sale often. Dimensions are 57 inches ... morelong and 26 inches tall. It is assembled from two pieces and mounts on the wall with three mounting brackets and three stand-offs. We carefully weighed the matter of having this sculpture restored. Some are of the opinion that it seriously diminishes the value of a piece. It was our conclusion that the finish was so badly scratched that only by restoring it would it be appreciated once again. The restoration expert did such a wonderful job. Being careful not to do any more than was necessary, this piece should be considered as excellent. As for shipping. We want to consider this a piece of artwork, not just a wall hanging. Its protection during shipping is a prime concern to us. For this reason, the restoration artist is constructing a custom packing crate for shipping. We are paying him for this and will only charge the actual shipping expense. We will also cover the insurance costs. SHIPPING NOTE: We listed this as a flat rate of $90 for shipping. Actually. This auction is for one rare 1978 Curtis Jere geometric shapes wall sculpture. We are getting ready to move. So we are scaling back some of our art pieces. This piece is signed"C. Jere 1978" in black paint on one of the chrome shapes. There is also a gold foil label on the back of the piece that reads"FINE SCULPTURES BY C. JERE ARTISAN HOUSE, INC. LOS ANGELES CALIF. SEE PICTURE) Cosmetically, the chrome and brass shapes have scratches and spots of surface rust(see pictures) It needs to be cleaned. The surface rust and scratches may be removable with a proper cleaning. We were too afraid we would do something wrong and ruin the piece, so we never tried to clean or polish it. Vintage Mid Century Modern Brutalist sunburst face Emaus brass wall sculpture reminiscent of Curtis Jere designs. This wall hanging is stamped(impressed) on the back"5 Emaus 83" It retains the old paper label on the back and has a hook for hanging on the wall. It also has a hole on the underside for displaying on a wooden stand. The wooden stand was not found with the piece. Emaus made high-quality hand-cut and welded metal sculptures in Mexico during the 1960's and 70's. This sunburst face wall sculpture also has a nice patinated bronzed finish. It is quite large measuring 31" across and 29" tall. This fabulous vintage Emaus sunburst face wall sculpture is in very good condition ... morewith just a bit of irregularity in the spacing of the"rays" near the bottom where the insert hole for the stand is located. Nothing that detracts in the least. It displays beautifully. Pictures were taken with and without a flash to best illustrate the true color and details. Outstanding original Patina. They have a lighter wood inlaid for the eye. Two of the fish have a curve in the body. One more than the other and the third one is flat. This gives them a nice 3D look. They are in excellent condition with no damage. They each have a factory hole in the back and also have an old hanger with cloth that looks original or very old. This is a gorgeous signed vintage(c.1970's) art glass sculpture by Livio Seguso. This mother and child is sculpted in clear crystal and measures approx 13" tall x 6" wide x 5" deep. These are approximate measurements because of the nature of the flowing sculpture. The square base is approx 3 1/4" Underside is etched signed by the artist. C. Jere Mid Century Brutalist Globe Wall Sculpture - Signed and Dated
This C. Jere wall sculpture is signed and dated 1982 on the lower part of the eastern hemisphere. The sculpture is two pieces representing the east and west hemispheres of the globe. The sculpture is constructed of metal and is highlighted with a green paint. Both pieces of the sculpture measure 27 1/2 inches in diameter and are convex in shape so they extend out 5 inches from the wall. The sculpture is in excellent vintage condition with no visible defects. Aside from a few very light surface scratches.

Beautiful vintage 2 piece enameled sculpture of butterflies on branches Intricate welding work forming the branches. And each butterfly has been hand enameled in rich colors No signature but this may be attributed to Curtis Jere The smaller piece with 2 butterflies measures 13 1/2" by 6" The bigger butterfly is 4 1/2" across. This piece is in wonderful condition The larger piece with 3 butterflies measures 21" by 15" The biggest butterfly is 4 3/4" across. The larger piece has 2 spots of damage to the enamel. This is one of many Estate fresh items from a Maryland Estate near the Bay Area. This is for a fantastic RARE Original Bronze Sculpture. Made Circa 1960's-70's. Designed by the famous Mid cEntury Modernist artist Curtis Jere. Most of Jere scuptures are thin metal wall art. This one is a great bronze young boy playing pulling a sled behind him. It is mounted in a large piece of marble. The sled is thin copper or metal. The boy is solid heavy bronze. It is signed on the boys legs. It is in very good condition. Classic Mid-Century Spanish Walnut Sculpture of Don Quixote The Man of La Mancha
Description: This is one nice piece of mid-century art that sat on a bookshelf in a home that was loaded with mid century treasures. The figure was carved in Spain of Spanish walnut and features Don Quixote or Quijote made famous in the work of Cervantes and immortalized on the screen by Peter O’toole. After I got this piece I wondered why so many people in the mid-century period were drawn to making art with this character as their theme. The largest luminaries of the art world at that time. From Dali to Picasso were compelled to put out art and sculptures of this lovable character. I guess it was the trait of optimism that Don Quixote embodied in the face of overwhelming odds that had a parallel in the post-atomic world that made him a must have in any collection of the period. The lance and shield were carved separately and applied later. You are bidding on is a nice mid century bronze lion box. The box is signed on the bottom edge and has the number 24 on one of the shallow feet. The box has a nice wood insert divided liner. Thanks and Good Luck! 12 Handmade Mid Century Modern Influenced Sculptural Blocks: Description: A couple years ago I was inspired by some cool block room dividers I saw online. They were not readily available or still in production so I decided to hand craft my own. I felt I had the proper skills and motivation so I decided to give it a go. The plan was to construct 12 blocks that would fill a(4ft) 48" square opening in my living room wall. Each block is constructed of 7 laminated layers of 3/4" MDF) Medium Density Fibreboard. First a jigsaw was used to make a rough cut then a hand router was used to refine the edges. Then 7 layers of MDF were glued and screwed together to form a block. ... moreThen the edges were rounded off with a router. Next they were meticulously hand sanded and primed pryer to painting. And finally they were sprayed a very nice Semi-Gloss Bright White. The blocks were made standard interior wall thickness(5 1/2" so they could be used as an architectural extension or accent. These can also be displayed. Stacked or arranged in an almost endless number of ways as a sculptural art piece. The only thing holding these blocks together in the photos is gravity so you will need to secure them together somehow for a permanent and safe installation. Double sided foam tape would would work for a temporary installation, construction adhesive and/or long screws could be used to secure them together more permanently. This is a lovely vintage mid century modernist metal wall sculpture. I estimate it is 1960's or 70's vintage. It is 56 X 28 inches. It can be hung at any angle. It is made of metal that has been welded together The dark metal has a black finish with a hint of green and gold flecks on it. The other is metallic gold colored and is reflective. It is in excellent condition with minor wear.
