These are Authentic tables made in 1978 in Delhi India, amazing sacred geometry pattern on the top surface of the tables. The auction is for one of the tables but have 2 available. Antique Wicker End or Occasional Table ~ AMAZING Condition~Perfect for 100 Uses!
Great Vintage Wicker Coffee Table Great Prairie/Arts& Crafts Style Piece Description: This fine coffee table came from a sale here in NH. The seller only knew that it was her grandmothers who came to New Hampshire as a widowed bride from Minnesota during WWII and that this table had been at their summer cottage all of her life but that there were never any matching pieces that she ever saw. This table may have travelled east with her because I have seen this style of wicker used in the Midwest. A few years back I saw pictures a set of wicker furniture with this same coffee table on the covered rear patio or verandah in a book about Prairie Style home by Frank Lloyd Wright. This table is in great shape for its age and there is really only one spot on one leg where the wrapping could use a little tightening as you can see in my pictures. ... morePlease look at all of my pictures as they are the best way for you to judge condition. The table is covered in a nice tight weave pattern that is remarkably intact. The new owner may want to think about covering it with a glass top to keep it looking nice. The piece has some nice decorations picked out with a darker contrasting wicker. There is a nice slung shelf underneath which is also in nice shape. The feet have brass colored caps which I have seen on a lot of Heywood pieces just after the turn of the century. I would guess that this is from around 1910– 1920 which also fits in with what I know of the piece. The table measures 25” x 16” and stands 19” tall. It is constructed of wood and wicker and has what looks like a model number of 5008 underneath the table top. This compact size of this nice old table will help it fit in with many periods of décor from Edwardian through Mid-Century Modern. Keep Coming back to see what the relicseeker has to offer. I bought it from a sweet older couple from New York who now live in Palm Harbor, FL. The husband explained that it was his Grandmother's first then his mother had it. He said his Grandmother got it around the time she was married and he couldn't remember if it was 1897 or 1898. The condition is superior. It has been well cared for for 115 years by the same family. ... moreThe oak grain is beautiful and the only flaws are: on the bottom of one of the round feet. Someone cut off a section of the very bottom so that it would fit closely next to something.however, it still is level because they cut off only a section, not the entire tip(please see the last pic) The other flaw is that there is a hair line split on the top where the wood has a miniscule separation. I had to inspect closely to find this. This table requires no restoration whatsoever. Has beautiful detail in the grain. Measurements are as follows: Oval Top is 32.75" long x 18" wide 27" tall from floor to top middle decorative shelf is 7.25" wide x 16" long with scrolling lower 2 round shelves are 10.5" in diameter. The table is in fantastic condition too. It is not marked that I can see but appears to be the work of a phenominal craftsman. It is 18 1/2" tall and the top measures 11" wide. I bought it from a sweet older couple from New York who now live in Palm Harbor, FL. The husband explained that it was his Grandmother's first then his mother had it. He said his Grandmother got it around the time she was married and he couldn't remember if it was 1897 or 1898. The condition is superior. It has been well cared for for 115 years by the same family. The oak grain is beautiful and the only flaws are: on the bottom of one of the round feet. Someone cut off a section of the very bottom so that it would fit closely next to something.however, it still is level because they cut off only a section, not the entire tip(please see the last pic) The other flaw is that there is a hair line split on the top where the wood has a miniscule separation. I had to inspect closely to find this. This table requires no restoration whatsoever. Has beautiful detail in the grain. It has nails in it, so it is not old antique, but probably from the 1930s, 40s, or 50s. not an expert) A little nick out of the second shelf and a couple of water glass rings on the top is the only damage. Antique Victorian ornate wood occasional table
Beautiful antique ornate table. Very detailed legs& underneath. Table measures 31" wide x 21" deep x 29.5" tall. I'm not sure about wood type. But I was told by woodworker that the legs and detail are Mahogany. Antique dealer estimated it to be early 1900's. Top was either replaced or repaired. There is a split right down the middle of the table top and a metal brace under the top that holds the two pieces together. Very nicely done repair. I have tried to show that in the pictures.it never bothered me, but I used the piece and am not a collector or dealer. The second thing that strikes you about this table is the colour and patination. The cabinetmaker that made this table chose some very good quality timbers for the job. This has resulted all these years later in a table with a gorgeous soft rich warm colour and patination that can only be attained by mahogany of this age and quality. Thirdly are the proportions. The design of this table is just right and the table benefits from having a good balance. Meaning that it“sits” well with a real“presence” Now we know everything on ebay is“fantastic” glorious” superb” brilliant” magnificent” greatest” resplendent” superior” etc etc but when we say this is a very good table we mean it. It is in good condition. I was told that the aging leather top was repaced in the 1950's with the Mosaic Tile Top that is now there however this could be removed and replaced fairly easily. The table measures 21.5" tall the oval top is 19.75" by 14.75" This is a wonderful solid Oak side table and the tile design& color works very well with the rest of the table.
