A Relief Map of Europe, and a Political Map of Germany. As you can see in the photos. The magazine interior is in quite good antique condition. Paper still crisp and supple with no tears, folds, markings to speak of. The spine is good but is starting to peel away from the cover at the staple areas. Cover retains some light discoloration and tearing ... moreas you can see. The map is still crisp but there is some crease and edge tearing. Overall though. The map is fully legible. This auction is for an antique NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC world globe with it's clear plastic lucite cradle stand. I am not sure of the size as I do not know how to measure but am assuming it is a 12" after some research. On the globe it is written"NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC GLOBE. COPYRIGHT 1961, WASHINGTON 6 DC, SCALE 1:41,817,600 or 660 miles to the INCH" The plastic stand also has markings which read"NATIOINAL GEOGRAPHIC SOCIETY, WORLD GLOBE" The globe is in good condition with some creases and some wear. 1914 National Geographic Magazine Book. Volume 25, Jan-June. The book was from the public library in Orleans. Nebraska and does have some minor wear on the covers. I noticed some of the pages were coming loose and some were taped in, which is shown in the last picture. I did not check to make sure every page was in the book or check every page for damage. But doesn't make it illegible. There are pinholes in a couple of the folds. 3-December 1939~Mexico Central America and The West Indies(measures 23 X 41) Shows normal signs of age/use. 4-June 1940 Southwestern United States(measures(26" X 34" Has thumb tack holes in border& pinhole in one of the folds.
