POSSIBLY IMPORTANT VINTAGE GREEK ATTIC STYLE CERAMIC WARRIOR KYLIX / TAZZA
IN THE PAST 2-3 YEARS I HAVE SOLD 2 SMALL AMPHORA VESSELS THAT TURNED OUT TO BE AUTHENTIC AND VERY FINE EXAMPLES TO VERY PLEASED CUSTOMERS. THIS IS THE LAST PIECE FROM THIS COLLECTION BELONGING TO AN ANTIQUES COLLECTOR AND DEALER. THIS ATTRACTIVE AND POSSIBLY MUSEUM QUALITY TAZZA OBJECT IS CERAMIC. POSSIBLY GRECO-ROMAN IN AGE, AND 10"WIDE. TO BE SAFE. I AM ONLY GOING TO SAY FOR SURE THAT IT IS A VINTAGE 19/20THC PIECE OF CERAMICS IN THE ANCIENT GREEK ATTIC STYLE. IT IS AN EXCEPTIONAL PIECE TO BEHOLD. THERE ARE SOME OBVIOUS CONDITION ISSUES. BUT THE MAJORITY OF THE PIECE IS WELL PRESERVED. ONE PROJECTING HANDLE IS BROKEN OFF AND MISSING. THE OTHER HANDLE IS INTACT, BUT I WOULD SAY THERE IS A 50% CHANCE IT HAS BEEN REAPPLIED. I HONESTLY CANNOT TELL. THE SURFACE HAS A FINE COAT OF ENCRUSTATION COVERING ABOUT 15% I SEE NO EVIDENCE OF REPAINTING ... moreOR RETOUCHING. THE BASE APPEARS TO BE ORIGINAL AND MAY HAVE BEEN REAPPLIED, BUT I HONESTLY CANNOT TELL. THERE IS SOME LIGHT WEAR AND LIGHT LOSS TO THE SURFACE DESIGN IN A FEW SPOTS. PLEASE STUDY THE IMAGES AND LET ME KNOW YOUR THOUGHTS ON THIS. I AM NOT AN EXPERT AT ALL, BUT HAVE SOLD MANY FINE OBJECTS OVER MY 14 YEARS TO 99.9% SATISFIED CUSTOMERS. MY GOAL IS TO HONESTLY PRESENT THESE FINE OBJECTS. IF YOU HAVE SOME OPINIONS OR INSIGHT. I WILL TAKE ALL THIS INTO ACCOUNT. SOLD WITHOUT RESERVE ON BEHALF OF A LOCAL ESTATE. AGAIN. I AM GOING TO SAY THAT THIS IS VINTAGE OR ANTIQUE. AS TO BEING AN ANTIQUITY, I AM NOT 100% CERTAIN. I LEAVE THAT TO THE EXPERTS. THANKS AND GOOD LUCK. I DO COMBINE SHIPPING! WILL SHIP TO ONLY CERTAIN REGIONS.UK. CANADA, MOST OF EUROPE, US, AUSTRALIA. Check out my!
