The handle of which has been stylized into an Anthropomorphic plank figure, with two eyes, a nose, headdress and a long cape. The vase is wide and heavy, with short neck and flaring lip. Age unknown. I have no experience of handling Greek pottery so I am reluctant to express an opinion on its age. All I can say for certain is that it is not new. Provenance: previously belonged to a man in London who acquired it before 1980. I purchased it at an auction in England. 773 grams. 15.5cm(6" high. Very good condition for age. Large chip to rim. Paint is rubbed or missing from patches revealing terracotta body beneath. Ingrained dirt to much of body. International postage is now very expensive.
