Antique Architectural Garden Wooden ARTS CRAFTS MISSION OAK Plant Stand
Here for your consideration is an antique ARTS CRAFTS MISSION OAK plant stand. This measures 17 1/4" tall and is 12" square at the top. The legs are tapered and splay out making the base 10 1/2" square. This is constructed of solid oak and features cut-out sides and a scalloped top. There is a slight split to the top that was repaired and really only noticeable from underneath. The piece is otherwise in good sturdy condition with all other wear reflective of age and use. For a small size stand this is solid weighing almost 5.5 lbs. Can be used as a table top or floor display to enhance your ARTS CRAFTS or any decor. I just briefly cleaned it but it could use a much better cleaning. it measures 29 1/2' high and the base is 24' square and the tip is 18' in diameter. its in excellent condition for its age with no damages. the top is not permanently fixed to the base but that could easily be done with screws or a construction glue if desired. this would have a shop value of hundreds. So its priced now to move. pick up would be preferred but I would ship if needed. Antique Victorian iron garden plant stand primitive chippy original paint folds!
True attic find from my 1897 Victorian farmhouse in the VA mountains. Chippy green paint over chippy yellow paint with rust spots. Much of the house had original yellow paint downstairs and the bedrooms had this original green paint. Based on the history of the house I would guess this item is from the1930's or earlier. And I lean towards 1920's or earlier. The exterior of the claw foot tub in the circa 1920's bathroom was originally painted this color green. About 14" W when open x 27" H. Acquired from an estate in overall very good pre-owned condition with normal signs of use/wear ie: some paint loss. Minor/mild surface rust(only a few spots) see pics. The top of the stand is solid cast iron with solid scrolled wrought iron legs. Very sturdy and solid! Plant stands, pot brackets and hangers, all kinds of rakes and other items.The flipside of the page has more. Neat for framing and great reference material for the garden tool collector. This ad print or catalog page is guaranteed authentic from 1931-it is not a later reprint or copy of any kind. The page size is 7 1/2" x 10 1/2" It is in very good condition. The printed area has a very soft fold that is hardly noticeable. Light creasing in margin and staple holes easily covered by matting or can be trimmed for framing.
