OMG HUGE 9 foot cast iron white gate topper architectural salvage rusty patina!
Amazing old gate! Hi, I am selling the most amazing decorative cast iron gate topper! At least I think that's what is it. Not too sure: The patina is to die for. Just enough rust and paint loss to be perfect! It has 3 1 5/8" legs at the bottom. I think is where it set on top of the gate. It has a small easel back behind. Can prop at an angle. It is gigantic measuring 9' 1" wide. 25" tall to the top of the finial, not including the legs at the bottom and is approximately 4" deep. I am guessing it to be 80-90 lbs. I believe it is cast iron. Unknown age. Looks quite old to me. It has incredible detail. So intricate, it is stunning! I think this would make an amazing plant border. But there are so many things you could do! How about above your bed or fireplace? Check the pics carefully. You'll see on the left side ... moreat the bottom the base sticks out a bit further than the scrolly detail above. But on the right side, the scrolly part sticks out further than the base. I think this is where 2 of these would have met. This must have been one whopper of a gate! Check out the 2nd to last pic. I said the ball looks a bit smashed. Upon further inspection, I think it was cut, probably when removing from the gate, minor and barely noticeable, just want you to know: You'll not see another like this. It is aged to absolute perfection, is so huge. So detailed, amazing. High quality older art deco styled fan that has a beautiful shell motive in the middle, with scrollwork curls on either side. It is in perfect rusty, chippy condition(a bit dusty) but it has no breaks or repairs, and has that perfect patina that only comes over time. Antique Primitive 1800's HANDFORGED Copper Pitcher! Rusty Iron Bale Patina NICE
Rustic and raw. With an outstanding green PATINA, this hand-forged water pitcher was probably made for and used well-side, long, long ago. It is full of wonderful imperfections and uneven measurements, making it one of a kind! Obviously crafted by a blacksmith. This lovely piece has a nice rusty iron bail, with the remainder being copper. I filled it full of water and it does not leak. It weighs just under 3 lbs.
