The only place that actually has any rust damage. If you look very closely in the last photo you can see about a 2" area along the very bottom rim, but it's not serious. Antique Hand Held Scythe. We found it hanging on the wall as a decor item in an enclosed. Garden porch at an estate sale. It's not marked for maker or age, my best guess is that it dates to around 1930. Wooden handle. The blade is held to the metal curved part by 2 rivets. The blade is about 12" long, it weighs 1 pound. Condition: A lot of wear on the wood handle; splits. Scrapes a few little paint spots. All metal parts are covered in rust. No dings on the blade, all the parts are tight. All questions are welcomed. 2 FARM PRIMITIVE RUSTY CHICKEN/ PEEP FEEDERS REPURPOSE ((LOOK))
Up for auction we have 2 rusty farm primitive chick feeders! These feeders came from one of the first production egg farms in West PA. I cleaned these feeders in hot soapy water and a soft fiber brush.There is a manufactures mark on the top of these feeders but I did not want to disturb the patina of these items. If the potential buyer of these feeders wishes to do so, that is up to you! You can see from the photos that the rust is creeping into the round slots of these feeders but I would hazard a guess to say that these feeders are between 50- 100 years old! The large feeder measures 8 1/2 inches across, the smaller feeder measures 6 inches across. The base of the large feeder has no holes but as you can see from the photos the small feeder has a hole in the base! Cool primitive farm items from decades ago! Old rustic rusty early vintage metal garden rake head from NC. It has 14 tines. It is as found. I believe his is an early rake head going by how it's made. Not sure what year though. To me. It looks handmade not factory made because it is not perfectly made. NOTE Condition: The back of the rake head is not exactly straight especially on one side. and one corner is not squared off like the other corner. More a curve to it. Some of the tines are somewhat bent/curved. Condition is as found. I have not cleaned it except to get the loose dirt off. It's rustic/rusty. It measures approx. 14 3/4" long. 3 1/4" from back of tines to top of handle WIdth is approx. 3" The tines are approx. 2 1/2" long. This is made a little different than other rake heads. It only has a long straight narrow round stem that the handle had been ... moreattached to. I'm not sure how it could be hung up but I'm sure any crafty person could figure a way to hang it.
