Tiny open grain cracks but no serious splits, much better condition than would be expected on this old of an item. Metal is good condition with some rust, but little if any pitting, and is still fully sound. It is about 36 inches long overall. Metal head is about 9 inches long and 3 inches wide. Rare Vintage Antique Cast Iron Figural Tree Branch-Trunk Plant Stand
You are looking at a great antique figural cast iron plant stand that is made to look like tree branches. Limbs, etc. I have never seen another one of these! Stand is most likely from the late 19th century. This piece was obtained at a high end estate sale recently where there were alot rare items. The hexagonal top has come loose some time ago, and was repaired by placing a bolt in it as shown, but this piece is very sturdy. The planter that I have resting in it weighs nearly 40 lbs.

Very rare vintage garden frog sprinkler Frog sprinkler C1880. English. No manufacturer's marks. Height 110. Measures 175 front to back including the hose spigot. Made in cast iron in two sections. The base with legs and screwed hose fitting and the body with sprinkler outlet. The two pieces are held together with rivets. The hose spigot is cast from brass. Lightly cleaned and polished. There appears to be an old repair to the right hand rear leg(when viewed from the front) this has been carried out very well and a long while ago since the red paint finish is overall. The screw thread in the sprinkler is very corroded and worn but the brass spigot still screws in OK and could be sealed water tight if you wanted to use it. There are three diameters on the hose spigot which will accept pipes of 1/2, 5/8& 3/4 inch. Vintage garden- rare double cutting hedge shears. Double cutting hedge shears C1950. English. No maker's name. Length in total 545. Length of blades 165. Handles are 250 long. Drop forged from high carbon steel plate then hardened. Ground and tempered. The handles are turned from beech and fittedc with tapered steel ferrules. The handles are retained on the tangs by a hardened steel pin. Stripped. Cleaned and polished. There is evidence that this tool was originally chrome plated but this has all worn off with much use. Condition is extremely good. I'm afraid I cannot remember the name of this tool. We've had one or two over the years and these have all been stamped with makers name and product title- I presume this was one from early production. Vintage Lawn Sprinkler from Dayton Irrigation Co in Dayton OH-Typec- RARE!!!
This is a rare vintage lawn sprinkler from the Dayton Irrigation Co. The base is cast iron. While the spinning distribution arms and top nozzles are of brass. There is a great amount of detailing to this sprinkler, plenty of lettering in the base, which can be seen in the pictures. There are some very small areas of corrosion to the arms, which can be seen in the pictures, but really it is overall in remarkable shape, given its age. A must-have for any sprinkler or old tool collector, or simply anyone interested in vintage and antique items. The top of the unit spins smoothly and without a sound, a beautiful piece. Sprinkler top(arms) measure 10 1/2" inches across, base is 7 1/2" x 6 1/2" Stands about 5 1/2" tall.

This is a rare Donegan& Co. water sprinkler Made in Kansas City MO. I did a little research and found the application for the patent was on March 2nd 1920. On the sprinkler it is marked Pat'd 5-10-21. And Donegan& Co. Kansas City MO. The main body of this piece is made of brass. I have not tested it with a water hose, but it looks like it would function well for it's age.

This is a very rare Twin Comet mechanical lawn sprinkler. It has a patent date of. Feb.19, 1886" Manufactured by E. Stebbins of Springfield. MA. This is one of the very first mechanical sprinklers manufactured in the USA. I have hooked it up to a hose and it does spray. The white marks on the arms are just splotches of paint. I have not attempted to clean the sprinkler and it is it's original condition. No breaks to cast iron and all original. The Hooks which are riveted to the back side are strong and sturdy. There is a small amount of surface rust. Nothing that alters the strength of the item. There is no rust around the rivets of the hooks. I love this thing. It's Large. Measuring 26 inches long, 27 1/2 inches long with the height of the hooks.
