I JUST GOT THIS GREAT PAIR OF ANTIQUE OHIO SEWER TILE GARDEN LIONS RIGHT OUT OF THE BARN IN AN OLD ESTATE. FAMILY MEMBERS SAID THESE WERE MADE BY THEIR GREAT GREAT GRANDFATHER IN THE SOUTHERN PART OF OHIO THAT LIVED IN THE UHRICHSVILLE AREA. THESE WERE MADE IN THE MID TO LATE 1800'S. THEY WERE PAINTED AND PUT OUTSIDE FOR MANY DECADES BUT HAVE BEEN IN THE BARN SINCE THE MID 1960'S. ONLY TRACES OF THE ORIGINAL PAINT REMAINS. THESE WERE FIRED WITHOUT GLAZE AND THE DETAIL IS VERY SHARP. THOUGH THEY WERE PROBABLY MOLDED FORMS THE HAND ENCISED DETAILING IS VERY EVIDENT IN THEIR MANES FACES AND EYES. THE DETAIL IS GOOD AND SHARPER IN PERSON. NO CRACKS OR RESTORATION. THERE ARE ONLY A VERY VERY FEW MINOR CHIPS ALONG THE BASE EDGES WHICH I HAVE SHOWN ALL IN THE PHOTOS. Vintage 1944 TRADES GRUB HOE adz axe wood root chopper Antique tool Rare Nice
Vintage grub hoe. Unusual spade type. Nicely marked"RADES 1944" on inside of metal blade. It has only some light age to the wood handle. Tiny open grain cracks but no serious splits, much better condition than would be expected on this old of an item. Metal is good condition with some rust, but little if any pitting, and is still fully sound. It is about 36 inches long overall. Metal head is about 9 inches long and 3 inches wide. Great for vintage display. Movie prop, and reinactments. Antique RARE Cast Iron & Metal Wire Arrangement Holder Flower Frog
Description This unusual and rare antique flower frog would have been used to create a beautiful floral arrangement. Vintage flower frogs are very popular and still used today. This one dates to c1920. The top wire is in a star shape. The others are circles to hold the flower stems. The wires can be bent to allow flowers to rest in any direction. The heavy cast metal base holds the flowers securely. These frogs will fit in the bottom of any bowl or vase that is more than 4" diameter. The underside of the base still has its original green paint. The top paint is worn from use over the decades. Measurements: 4" in diameter at the base and is 8" tall. Antique CHINESE GREEN GLAZE POTTERY 25" Fountain Garden HERON STATUE 1910 RARE
An unusual antique green glaze pottery figure of a heron. This is unmarked. But most certainly Chinese, circa 1910. The bird figure is a rare LARGE size. I bought this at an estate sale nearly 30 years ago in Menlo Park, CA. The mediterranean style house was constructed in 1911, and still held hundreds of original items, many of which were oriental. This bird figure was at the edge of a fish pond, and had a water feature that made water stream through the narrow slits in the pottery"reeds" around the herons feet and legs. If you look at the close up photo of the base, you can see where this was anchored to the edge of the fish pond with dabs of concrete. The heron is depicted standing among reeds as if in a swamp or a pond. It is a rare and spectacular piece of Chinese pottery. Great decorator piece inside or out. MEASURES: approx. ... more25" tall and it is approx. 17" at the widest point.from the back to the beak. CONDITION:GOOD+.it has a firing split on the inside. Which BARELY shows on the outside, and this happened during the manufacturing. It is very typical of this type of ware, and pottery collectors realize this.it is NOT damaged. The outside glaze around the base has some water deposits and calcium build up. It of course can be removed, but it indicates years of use.no chips, damage cracks, or repairs.see all pics. Rare Vintage Antique Cast Iron Figural Tree Branch-Trunk Plant Stand
You are looking at a great antique figural cast iron plant stand that is made to look like tree branches. Limbs, etc. I have never seen another one of these! Stand is most likely from the late 19th century. This piece was obtained at a high end estate sale recently where there were alot rare items. The hexagonal top has come loose some time ago, and was repaired by placing a bolt in it as shown, but this piece is very sturdy. The planter that I have resting in it weighs nearly 40 lbs.

This is a super rare antique Victorian cast iron sink that was made for a garden. I have never seen a cast iron garden sink and it is quite unique and impressive when seen in person. It measures 29 inches in height. The top is 24 inches in length and 19 inches in depth. The sink has an enamel surface that has some obvious nicks and wear to the enamel from use over the years. It has the original soap holder and some other type of ring holder on the other side. The paint is an old green and appears to be the original paint when it was made. I could not find any makers mark or date on it but it is definitely American ... moremade from the late 1800s. There is no damage or repairs to the cast iron. I tried to find another one like this sink and i could not find one being sold or for sale anyhwere so it is a pretty rare piece of Americana. The wining bidder can either pick this up here on Cape Cod(02653) or we can recommend a couple of different blanket wrap shippers. The flower holder stands 2 3/4" Has 6 holes, top and bottom, and is painted green in color. The base is heavy metal. There is some paint loss and a little rust, but it is in as if new condition as far as structurally. It is a little tacky on the bottom from florist clay. 2. One Antique crystal cut rose bowl with the original flower frog insert. Nicely appointed with engravings of swags and flower. No monograms. This is really a special and beautiful piece. Measures approximately 4" high. The cage is easily removed when it comes time to clean the cut crystal bowl. This beauty is in excellent previously owned condition without any chips or scratches except where it sits on ... morethe bottom. Just normal wear for a piece well enjoyed and with good reason. 3. Antique Vintage EMPIRE PLOW COMPANY Walk-Behind Plow Garden Cultivator Rare"AMERICAN BEAUTY" Model This old walk-behind push plow/ garden cultivator belonged to my grandfather. Who lived to almost 100 years old and was a true homesteader. He used this hand plow to cultivate his garden behind the house he built himself with stones collected from a creek bed. The plow was made by the Empire Plow Company. Which began manufacturing farm implements in 1840 in Georgia before moving to Pittsburgh, PA, before the Civil War. They relocated to Cleveland, OH, in the 1890s. The plow is constructed of all steel, except for the handles, which are wood, possibly oak. The frame has much of its original green color left. It looks much greener in person than in the photos. We have not cleaned or restored it in any way, so it retains its weathered ... morelook with some rust and old patina. It's just as my grandfather left it, right down to some mud on the wheel that's probably 75 years old. I am not sure of the plow's age, but I know it dates at least back to the 1940s, as my uncle, as a child, recalls seeing him use it then. On the outside of the right handle. The word EMPIRE is printed in black over a white rectangular box. Above it in very faded letters are the words Empire Plow Co, followed by something else I can't make out. Lower on the handle are the words AMERICAN BEAUTY. I have not been able to find any other examples of this Empire model anywhere, so I assume it to be rare. If you have any info about this model, please send me a message. The design of the frame looks same as the Empire Boy Scout High Wheel plows used by boy scouts to grow victory gardens during WWI. The Empire American Beauty measures approximately 60" in overall length. The handles are 49-1/2" long and 1-3/4" by 1" wood. The wheel is 1-3/8" wide and 23-1/2" in diameter. Rare Antique Pittsburgh Pump Co. Well Pump
You are viewing a Rare Antique Pittsburgh Pump Co. Well Pump. I broke this completely down gave it a good sand blasting and cleaning and a new paint job because it needed it. It was to far gone to even be noticable. Underneath all the paint that was on it I found it to be copper tubing and copper neck as depicted in pictures. I searched all over Ebay and could not find one like this. I did find one smaller kitchen pump which is being sold in a neighboring town, it also is a Pittsburgh Pump Co. I highlighted all the part numbers on it as shown in pictures and all parts and bolts are original no replacements. It is minus a wooden handle it was broke off in the hand lever. I have done research and have not been able to find this frog. Closest I can find is a frog fountain by Gladding McBean. It is not signed, but it was hand pressed into a mold as shown, and made of the same white clay that all great old American Art Pottery is made. It was used on the farm primarily to rid chickens of lice. But was also used in the garden to apply insecticide to plants. It dates, I would guess, to the late 1800s. It has a tin litho label and is in very good working condition(as I found out when I pressed down on the plunger and insecticide powder blew out) The plunger button is brass and embossed with the company name. Beautiful rare antique masonry wall garden fountain. Excellent condition with no cracks or noticeable repairs. We recently removed this from a Victorian home in New England. The pedestal base is 30" high. 5.5" wide, 7" deep and weighs 50 lbs. The bowl is 19" wide, 14" from front to back, and 8" tall. It weighs 61 lbs. The back-splash with lion's head is 18" high, 15" wide and 2" thick. It weighs 23 lbs. Altogether it is 56" high, 19" wide, and 14" from front to back, and weighs 134 lbs. It comes with 2 brass spigots, either of which should have a backplate added for looks and ease of usage. It is too heavy to ship via UPS or USPS. Extremely Rare Antique Primitive Wooden Plant / Crop / Rose Duster
You are bidding on a wooden plant duster/pesticide applicator. I hesitated with listing this because I have so little information on it and it appears there is very little help on the internet in identifying this piece. It came from my grandfather but that is the extent of my knowledge of the piece. I was unable to find any similar plant dusters online. So I am not sure if this tool was custom made. If it was, the craftsmanship is excellent. It is still functional, albeit a bit leaky. If you push the plunger handle it will expel powder out the end, but it leaks out the cracks where the seams are. As an antique or decoration, this is a beautiful piece. With a little cleaning to remove the duct tape residue, I'm confident you'll have a great display piece. And very unique Bottom is Wood Measures 28" tall x 9.25" across bottom x 8.75" across top Condition is"Antique-Great" There is a small spot at base on one side that is"flawed" But there is no missing wicker, and nothing separated or ready to break. Looks like someone took the time to repair this and stain over it. Watercolor under glass has some water staining and a couple creases in paper. But otherwise great. The art focal point is an exotic bird on top branches of tree. Glass is in great condition.

This is an unusual and colorful design on an antique pot or urn or planter. Double handled. Terracotta. Very rustic in original untouched condition. The slip decoration is colorful with a creamy ecru background and blue paint decoration. the terracotta is showing thru to decorate as well( the brown colors are unpainted but glazed) This is hand made and very old. All are made differently. No two alike. It stands 9 3/4" high. the base is nearly 5 3/4" round. It is in very good condition with a few nicks on the body. The finish is rough. It was never meant to be a"fine" peice. Very primitive for indoor or outdoor use. It has a very European look. Possibly French. I have listed another one if you care to look.
