Vintage Sears. Roebuck and Co. Peerless Continuous Sprayer(Copper and Brass) Up for auction is a vintage Sears. Roebuck and Co. Peerless Continuous Sprayer for Home and Garden. This old sprayer is made of solid copper and brass, and has a handle made of wood. It still retains the original label! The entire sprayer is made from solid copper with the exception of the long tube and nozzle tip which are solid brass. It is in excellent cosmetic condition with a very nice patina, although it is probably no longer functional due to the age of the rubber seals. The copper tank measures 4” in diameter. Sprayer stands approximately 5 ¼” tall and 14” long end-to-end. Makes a great display piece! Discoloration, heavy tarnishing found to the brass, and surface rust and pitting found to the metal, including the footpad; the pump is in functional condition, however, this item leaks where the stem meets the bowl. Antique Cast Iron Hayes Pump & Planter Co Galva IL Farm Water Well Pump Hit Miss
Up for bids at auction: Up for bids is this antique cast iron. Hayes Pump& Planter Co. Well Pump. This old pump is in good condition and was found at an old farm estate in Central Iowa where the pump had been sitting unused on an old well for many years. As you can see in the pictures, the pump is marked with raised, embossed lettering that reads, MF’D BY HAYES PUMP& PLANTER CO. on both sides of the body ~“GALVA, ILL. U.S.A. on both sides of the spout and“HAYES GALVA, ILL. on the base as well as having embossed part numbers on the various pieces of the pump. The handle raises, lowers and works just as it should and the pump could easily be reconditioned to pump water. It appears to have been repainted silver a long time ago with the paint worn thin or entirely away in some places. The pump is just as I found it with an old repair ... moreon the neck and a place on one side of the base that does not extend as high up as the other side. Both of these points are easily overlooked and did not prevent the pump for being used. As you can see in the pictures. The old water pipe extends below the base roughly six inches- Most of the time this would be cut off. However if you’re looking for a pump to use as décor. Just push that section of pipe in the ground or use it as an anchor if you cement in into place. Either way. It won’t go anywhere and no additional work will be needed. If you want to cut the pipe off. It can easily be done. Overall height from the base to the top of pump. Excluding the water pipe that goes below the base, is roughly 42 inches. Just a nice old. Hard to find pump for the collection or for use. Please refer to the pictures and feel free to email with any questions. After looking it over I realized that it was manufactured without a spout. It is missing the pump rod and since it has no spout there probably should be more to it. But i don't know what it would be. This will not stand up on its own and will need to be supported in some way. This has a lot of surface rust but there are some very small areas where the original red paint is showing through. I have looked this over and everything moves as it should and could not find any cracks, breaks, or welds. This item will be partially disassembled for a safer and more cost effective shipping. Windmill Water Pump, Challenge Co., Hand Lever, Cast Iron, Vintage, Farm, 1492
Used. Windmill or Hand Operated Water Pump Housing, Lever and other components. Manufactured by the Challenge Company in Batavia, Illinois, probably in the 1920's but I'm not sure of an exact date. Nice looking cast iron pump housing. Lever and pivot. Base would allow anchoring for display(I'll include a"dummy, not original equipment" sucker rod to help position handle, not pictured) or use these good components for repair parts! The numbers"1492" are cast into the lower part of housing. These might be a model number. Not sure. Challenge Co, Batavia ILL is also cast into the housing. The number"18" is cast into the lever, the letter"C" on the connecting link and the number"919" on the parting rod guide. The pump housing with the pivot casting on top, measures about 45-1/2" ... morein overall height and the base is about 10-1/4" diameter. The handle is about 39" long as shown in the picture. There is evidence of possibly factory"as manufactured" repairs on the spigot. You can see small rectangular pieces of what appear to be cast iron inserted in a couple of spots(see pictures) There is also an old"weld repair" to the housing. Just above the end of the CHALLENGE CO/BATAVIA ILL script(see picture) There is a small"notch" in the base edge and other nicks and dings from use. I don't see any other repairs or cracks but without putting water to it, I don't know for sure. There is a"cast line" on the side of the base of the top casting that looks like a crack but when examined from the inside/end, there is no crack and it is evident that it is"as cast" This IS NOT a complete working pump. With your winning bid you will receive a Pittsburgh Pump Co. well pump. This pump is very rare. With the research I did on this I couldn't hardly find any. I broke the pump down did a mild restoration on pump and left every nut and bolt original and not replaced. Upon sand blasting I noticed that the center shaft was brass so I cleaned it and gave it a light polishing as seen in picture. The handle was wooden wich I have never seen before on any other pump, it was rotted away, any broom handle would easily fit and be able to be bolted into it. I will break the whole pump for shipping purposes, and is easily put back together by looking at pictures. This pump could easily be put into use, by replacing check valve, gasket and wooden handle. You are viewing a Rare Antique Pittsburgh Pump Co. Well Pump. I broke this completely down gave it a good sand blasting and cleaning and a new paint job because it needed it. It was to far gone to even be noticable. Underneath all the paint that was on it I found it to be copper tubing and copper neck as depicted in pictures. I searched all over Ebay and could not find one like this. I did find one smaller kitchen pump which is being sold in a neighboring town, it also is a Pittsburgh Pump Co. I highlighted all the part numbers on it as shown in pictures and all parts and bolts are original no replacements. It is minus a wooden handle it was broke off in the hand lever. This is for the antique vintage Deming Co Salem O cast iron well cistern hand pump pictured. I have added 12 pictures total with the last 2 showing the measurements. There are some broken and damaged areas on this pump and the worst are shown in the 8th. 9th, and 10th pictures. The 8th picture shows one of the ears on the handle mount is broken off so the handle is held in place by one ear only. It can be made to move up and down by not tightening the bolt all the way. The 9th picture shows a cut across the top of the spout. The 10th picture shows the bolts on the top cap that are broken or deteriorated. Because the bolts are broken the top cap is stuck in place and will not move. There are a couple of old layers of paint and rusty areas but I do think this would make a nice display piece. The Temple Pump Co. Cast Iron Well Cistern Hand Pump
This is for the Temple Pump Co well pump pictured. I have added 12 pictures total with the last 2 showing the measurements. I just recently acquired this item. When I get them one of the first things I like to do is to blast off as much of the old paint as I can so I can see all the flaws. What I found with this one was a number of welds up on the top. All of the welds look to be very strong. They were not done by me as I am not that good of a welder. There is an area by one of the tightening bolts that has a crack in it. Because of the crack care should be taken when assembling this item or it should be repaired. Even with the flaws I really liked the shape and design of this particular pump. Before I reconditioned the pump I also lathed this new replacement handle which is made of Native American Chestnut. It is a piece of wood reclaimed from an old barn. I antiqued it by doing some burning and some high speed grinding. Then added some pings and dings for character. I then added teak oil and finished it off with polyurethane for waterproofing. The photo above shows the six cast iron components after all loose rust and scale had been removed in preparation for paint. I pressed on a 10" ... morefiberglass rod over the rusted"dip-stick" so as to prevent it from slipping out when cranking handle. The embossed words throughout the pump reads"Etter's Improved Little Giant Force Pump" Patented May 20, 1902" Mfg. Domestic Engine and Pump Co. Shippensburg Pa. and"Canada Patent 1902. Some words are hard to make out from age wear. The pump generally measures 32 inches in length and will have a shipping weight of 35 pounds. FREE SHIPPING on this behemoth! The bottom of the pump where it connects to the main ground pipe(or your connecting pipe) is 1-7/8" diameter pipe threaded on the end for connecting to this pump. There are many options for incorporating a handsome base piece that can hide the ground pipe. Notice in the picture above. The black pipe screwed into the bottom of the spigot body. This does not come with the auction. For a couple of dollars, the winning bidder will provide their own mounting pipe. Does anyone remember this Company? Has any Family member ever work here? Here is a Peter's Pump Company Pump located in Kewanee Ill. I did some research on this Pump and found; a Gentleman back in 1888 named Peter Wistrand began the mfg. of Hand Pumps using the name Peter's Pump Co. In 1890 he sold an interest to another Gentleman named Guenther then he ended up selling all of his interest in 1904. The plant employed about 50 men. And the company did not disclose it's business figures. I also found another piece of info about this Co. Apparently their slogan said" No broken parts, says Peter's Pump Co. Kewanee Illnois. Interesting info. Don't know the actual age of this pump could not find that info? My sister said that she found it in an Old Barn 40 years ago so that is some info to go on. She also has kept this ... morepiece in her home as a decoration. This is a true piece of brass, which I tested it by putting a magnet on the brass and it Did Not stick, which is how one can tell if something is brass with no other metals. This pump is made out of real Brass and some sort of maybe cast metal. The handle pump works great as well as heavy DUTY, she said that the faucet worked as well, although I could not get the spicket to turn. Has threads on the bottom side where it can be hooked to a threaded well casing and a threaded faucet to attach a hose. The pump has 4 holes at the bottom to bolt it down. It also has the numbers stamped E17. The handle has the Company name, state and an E21. The height is approx. 20.5 inches tall, approx. 12.0 inches wide, the OD of the threaded hole attachment is approx. 2 inches and the ID is approx. 1 inch and 1/4. Antique Copper Well Hand Pump - S. Wilder & Co. Mass Vintage
This auction is for a USED Antique Copper Well Hand Pump made by S. Wilder& Co. of Holliston Massachusetts. S. Wilder& Co. was founded in 1876 by Sydney Wilder. The company made copper shallow-well hand pumps before focusing entirely on brass and copper light fixtures beginning around 1920. The pump measures roughly 42 inches in total length. The handle. Pump mechanism, and flange are all constructed out of cast iron, but the rest of the pump is constructed out of copper. Overall, the physical condition is good. T is normal wear/tear from use and age. The cast iron only has surface rust which would clean up very nicely. The pump has not been tested. In addition, I am not sure what may be missing from the pump so its being Sold As Is. I am starting this auction at 99 cents with no reserve.

CAST IRON WELL HAND PUMP-THE DEMING CO. 29" Tall Here's a great old Hand Pump in untouched condition. IT IS SIGNED THE DEMING CO AND THERE IS WRITING I believe on the handle but I can't read it. Pump is 33"tall. The handle is 29" long and the base is 9" on the very bottom. I see no breaks or cracks. Nice old pump just the way it is or you can strip the pump and repaint. Either way it's a nice country item.

Up for auction is an antique cast iron Deming Co Hand well pump. This pump was manufactured in Salem Ohio USA. Unsure of the year of mfg. This pump looks to be in pretty good shape. Odviously not useable shape. Looks to have been originally painted red from the factory. Overtime someone has painted this pump black. It is pretty neat because the black paint has cracked look that cant be seen in the photos, some of the black paint has peeled/chipped away overtime revealing the original red paint.

Vintage Littlestown Howe & FDRY. Co cast iron water pump (farm house decor)
A little bit of country farm house/rustic chic here. What we have here is a vintage cast iron Littlestown Howe& co. water pump. Due to it's age. There's signs of wear. Surface rust, loss of paint, white paint drips scattered about the pump. Measures 16' in height and base is 7' wide. Really a great item for the vintage farm house look. Nicest looking. Original antique hand drawn water pump I have ever seen.Has some original Green paint tint throughout; NOT Repainted. Great cast iron piece, with superb raised lettering. Has the perfect look, no cracks, no breaks, no repairs. The faucet opens and closes, pump action works smoothly, the top brass pieces are free to remove, and the faucet bolts I replaced with antique new old stock, so that it can be shipped without the faucet on to prevent damage. For this pump to be operable, all it needs is the rubber center bladder gasket to be replaced, and the gasket between the faucet and pump to be replaced.note: with any antique pump these gaskets need to be replaced. It has nothing to do with the cast iron pump itself. Weighs a heavy 41 pounds and is 26" tall, with a 7" by 9" base. Vintage Dayton Mfg. Co. Water Well Pump, Early Electric, Hit Miss, Windmill,
This is a very early electric well pump made by THE DAYTON PUMP MFG CO. It is obviously missing the motor(would mount on top) I took it apart and cleaned out the gear box and oiled the gears. There was no rust at all inside. Everything turns easy and all bronze bearings are good and tight. All oil ports are clear and work as they should. I tried to show the action of the pump in the last six pictures. It's 31 1/2" tall and weighs 123 pounds. This would be cool to use with a hit and miss motor or a windmill. Local pick up only. I can help load. I'm located in Drexel NC. Only two miles off I40 exit 107. Easy to find.

Up for purchase is a great antique F. E. Myres Ashland O. USA tall water well pump. Pat Aug. 7-83 Nov. 20-88(1883 1888) This would make a great water feature.Yard art or what ever you want, possibly even put on your cistern well.The last photo of the pump shows a weld repair,looks good,and the 2 photos before it shows the repair and a small piece missing on the base but still a very handsome pump.It is set up for left hand use. Red weeny dog not included. Also I have a conductor cup that i'm including.shipping only in the lower 48 states.
