Went to the flea market, and still have some items from the weeks ago farm estate auction- there’s lots of neat stuff that you don‘t want to miss! Oh. This one so has character to spare! Ready for Spring for you, with a time earned patina that we love. What I have is a vintage, cast iron planter stand for you- it's a planter box that stands on a pedestal base. Very scrolly and fancy, yet shabby, primitive rustic at the same time as it's covered with darkdarkdark rust. It's totally structurally sound, though. The rust has been there for a long time, and you can see some pitting that is light on the iron, but no holes or eat throughs or sharp edges- it will work for you! Primitive Shabby Rusty Vintage Redware Pottery Planter With Tin Hanger 2 Hooks
Primitive Shabby Rusty Vintage Redware Pottery Planter With Tin Hanger 2 Hooks WOW- went to my favorite flea market this weekend and found some awesome treasures for you- I’ll be listing all week. So keep checking! Just in time for the season. This shabby sweet old vintage planter has all the rustic charm that you love. The pot is terra cotta red clay- the only way that I know this is from some tiny peeks of it on the inside of the pot. Otherwise, is has a very dark grey- almost black patina, that is accented with what looks like white oxidation inside and out- out more at the bottom base, and the inside all over. I have no idea if the patina is paint or? but there's light spots and dark spots and it just reflects its age. That white spot that you see on the tim- it's about 1" square and it appears to be a white paint oops-plop- ... moreit's palpable, and there's some other smaller ones on the perimieter too. The pot is in excellent condition structurally, with no chips or cracks on the body, and a handful of tiny flea bite nicks on the very bottom rim- on the underside so you have to have it turned over to notice. It sits inside of a wire holder that has two hooks for hanging. The holder wire appears to be steel or tin and it has a tin pan affixed to the bottom. It is in excellent condition structurally, with lots of rustic wear, and age darkened patina and spots of surface rust all over- and the bottom covered with it, see my photos. The pan has two shally up dings/ripples on the edge that you can see in photo 11(I'm showing one, the other is just about the same size too. I don't know if the pot and the holder started out life together, but they fit well together- the bottom of the pot suspended 1/2" from the top of the pan, allowing for drainage. The pot measures 7" diameter across the top, 4" diameter across the bottom and stands 4 5/8" tall. It weighs a hefty 1 3/4 lbs- this is a very old piece. 2 FARM PRIMITIVE RUSTY CHICKEN/ PEEP FEEDERS REPURPOSE ((LOOK))
Up for auction we have 2 rusty farm primitive chick feeders! These feeders came from one of the first production egg farms in West PA. I cleaned these feeders in hot soapy water and a soft fiber brush.There is a manufactures mark on the top of these feeders but I did not want to disturb the patina of these items. If the potential buyer of these feeders wishes to do so, that is up to you! You can see from the photos that the rust is creeping into the round slots of these feeders but I would hazard a guess to say that these feeders are between 50- 100 years old! The large feeder measures 8 1/2 inches across, the smaller feeder measures 6 inches across. The base of the large feeder has no holes but as you can see from the photos the small feeder has a hole in the base! Cool primitive farm items from decades ago! Old rustic rusty early vintage metal garden rake head from NC. It has 14 tines. It is as found. I believe his is an early rake head going by how it's made. Not sure what year though. To me. It looks handmade not factory made because it is not perfectly made. NOTE Condition: The back of the rake head is not exactly straight especially on one side. and one corner is not squared off like the other corner. More a curve to it. Some of the tines are somewhat bent/curved. Condition is as found. I have not cleaned it except to get the loose dirt off. It's rustic/rusty. Antique Primitive 1800's HANDFORGED Copper Pitcher! Rusty Iron Bale Patina NICE
Rustic and raw. With an outstanding green PATINA, this hand-forged water pitcher was probably made for and used well-side, long, long ago. It is full of wonderful imperfections and uneven measurements, making it one of a kind! Obviously crafted by a blacksmith. This lovely piece has a nice rusty iron bail, with the remainder being copper. I filled it full of water and it does not leak. It weighs just under 3 lbs.
