Vintage W L Davey Corp Cast Iron/Brass Hand Well Water Pump Farm Tool Primitive
Vintage pump marked W. L. Davey Corp. Rockford. Ill. This pump measures 20" tall, the base is 9" x 4 1/2" and the handle is about 18 1/2" long. The top spout part is threaded and is 1" the other one 1/2 way down is also threaded and is 3/4" The body part is brass as well as some of the other fittings, the rest is cast iron. The handle moves freely, there are no cracks, welds or breaks in the cast iron. There are various cast#s on a few of the parts, see pictures for details. Hasn't been tested or used in years, might need new"guts" or would be great for garden decor. Ships USPS Standard(economy) or Priority w/$5.00 handling which includes tracking and insurance.

Antique Forged Iron Farm Garden Row Stake Pole Tool Plant Rope Guide primitive I believe these are antique garden stakes or poles used to make straight planting rows in the garden. The forged iron stakes were used by a real English gardener on a wealthy estate in New Jersey during approx. 1940s-60s. The estate featured a farm and employed a blacksmith for decades. Therefore most likely these were forged on the farm at some point. Both stakes feature a spear at the bottom, one having an"eye" at the top and the other a"grid" to wrap the rope around- the grid is free to spin around, making winding up the rope easy. The simple stake measures 26" long and the larger one measures 28" long. The rope may be original, however I'm not certain. My Grandmother just passed away recently at the age of 96. So this is pretty old as my Grandpa made it for her shortly after they married and Gram always used it every year working in her large garden to carry her plant starters. Tools, and gloves. She refused to ever upgrade to something new. He pounded it back together several times as she refused to toss it out. It still works great, one side board is warped and could use some repair but other then that it's a nice old piece. Still has some northern Michigan dirt in it too. Offered is this early corn harvesting farm tool once used for cutting stalks by hand. This features an 11 inch steel blade on a 24 inch wooden handle. The blade is held securely with two casted steel brackets and two square head bolts and nuts. The ends of the bolts were flared with a hammer to keep them permanently attached to the nuts. There are no visible makers identification marks. Condition: There is wood checking at the blade end of the handle and the blade is rusty. All original pieces are intact and in stable condition.

One would place a bunch of asparagus inside the open tool and even up the ends of the vegetables against the wooden end board. The ratcheting top closure could then hold the bunch together as the bunch was tied off. A tab under the handle releases the lever to open the unit for the next bunch. A very nice. It looks handmade not factory made because it is not perfectly made. NOTE Condition: The back of the rake head is not exactly straight especially on one side. and one corner is not squared off like the other corner. More a curve to it. Antique Acme Primitive Farm Tool Corn Bean Planter
For auction is a primitive corn planter farm tool manufactured by a company in Philadelphia whose name is hard to read. It is the Acme model and carries a patent date of 9/11/1900. The graphic on the handle indicates that it was sold with the pumpkin seed attachment but that appears to have been lost over the years. The hopper that holds the seeds is rusty but otherwise it appears to be in good condition. With some effort. Even the slide on the front of the hopper works. It is 33 3/4" long and the wooden handles are undamaged. This would make a great wall hanger as a memory from times past.

You are bidding on a Vintage Primitive CYCLONE Hand Crank Seed Spreader Sower Farm Tool. Farmers used to walk the fields planting seeds by filling the bag. Adjusting the seed drop hole and turning the handle that would throw the seeds out. Besides a great wall hangar this spreader works. There is rust on the metal parts and a few holes, see pictures. I found this old useable spreader in an old barn here in Idaho. For shipping purpose the handle is removed and can easily be installed, see picture. If you have questions pleas email. VINTAGE Antique PRIMITIVE WOODEN CORN SEED PLANTER FARM TOOL Wood Decorating
This is for the piece you see here. I am not sure the make of this piece. Possibly ACME? Not sure. Nor am I sure the age. There are some words stenciled onto the back side(photo#12) but I cannot make out what they say. This would make a very nice decorating piece. The metal hopper looks very old. The top to the hopper needs to be resecured on the one side. The other side is secured with a nail. I believe this is how it was made, though I cannot be sure of that. Stands 34" tall. The photos show the true condition. Comes just as you see it here. Please look close and be sure to ask whatever questions you may have.

Antique farm soil-cultivator. Just under 5' long from tip to tip. Came out of Lunenburg. Massachusetts. 5) hooks or tines. That adjust and slide on their bracket with tightening nuts. Tines have some surface rust. But maintain their shape, with no breaks, cracks or weld repairs, with hints of an early green paint. Wooden handle is in very good condition and held to the iron bracket with(2) iron rivets. This would make a nice antique display in your country home or rustic-themed restaurant. Antique/Vtg Parkes Biped Primitive Hay Knife Farm/Garden Tool Hedger? 1800's 72" total length. 18.5" blade. Stamped"Parkes Biped" in blade. I'm not exactly sure what this tool was used for but the closest things I could find on Google where hay knives and hedge slashers. It's a great looking piece. Blade is still fairly sharp and has its point. Plenty of wear and aging. The metal is pitted. Original wood handle has a vintage repair of a large fracture. Repair looks to be almost as old as the tool(see close-up photos)
