This pattern, Flowers" is shown in the RRP reference book and was made from an original Weller Pottery mold that was purchased when that company closed. Includes the Jardinere and the matching stand. In very good vintage condition. No chips or cracks, just a couple of glazing flaws from the manufactoring process. No other defects noted. The bottom of the pot reads"R.R.P.Co. Roseville Ohio, No-421, U.S.A. Stand is 14" tall. Jardinere is about 8" tall and 9.25" across the top Information on RRP Co. of Roseville. Ohio The Robinson Ransbottom Pottery began operation in 1900. Its founders had close ties with the world famous Weller and Roseville Potteries. During the late 1890's. Frank Ransbottom was one of the area's best known and most successful jobbers of the stoneware and earthenware products made in Roseville, Crooksville and Saltillo. The young Mr. Ransbottom, was born in 1872, started selling at an early age and succeeded so quickly that he formed his own company to distribute products made by both the small and large potteries of the area. Frank established a thriving business and outstanding reputation. Despite his success, he lacked the control and security that only a captive source of supply could insure. Then in the summer of 1900. Frank learned that the Oval Ware and Brick Company, located in Beem City- now Ironspot- was for sale. RARE PAIR ANTIQUE OHIO SEWER TILE GARDEN LION STATUES UHRICHSVILLE ESTATE
I JUST GOT THIS GREAT PAIR OF ANTIQUE OHIO SEWER TILE GARDEN LIONS RIGHT OUT OF THE BARN IN AN OLD ESTATE. FAMILY MEMBERS SAID THESE WERE MADE BY THEIR GREAT GREAT GRANDFATHER IN THE SOUTHERN PART OF OHIO THAT LIVED IN THE UHRICHSVILLE AREA. THESE WERE MADE IN THE MID TO LATE 1800'S. THEY WERE PAINTED AND PUT OUTSIDE FOR MANY DECADES BUT HAVE BEEN IN THE BARN SINCE THE MID 1960'S. ONLY TRACES OF THE ORIGINAL PAINT REMAINS. THESE WERE FIRED WITHOUT GLAZE AND THE DETAIL IS VERY SHARP. THOUGH THEY WERE PROBABLY MOLDED FORMS THE HAND ENCISED DETAILING IS VERY EVIDENT IN THEIR MANES FACES AND EYES. THE DETAIL IS GOOD AND SHARPER IN PERSON. NO CRACKS OR RESTORATION. THERE ARE ONLY A VERY VERY FEW MINOR CHIPS ALONG THE BASE EDGES WHICH I HAVE SHOWN ALL IN THE PHOTOS. THERE ARE NO CHIPS TO THE FIGURES. THEY ARE IN A RECUMBENT POSE WITH HEADS ... moreUP AND TAILS TUCKED NEAR FRONT OF BODIES WITH THAT BALL SHAPE FORM BEING THE FUFFY TIP OF THE TAIL. I AM REALLY SURPRISED TO HAVE FOUND A PAIR AND EQUALLY SURPRISED AT THEIR GREAT CONDITION. ALL I DID WAS BRUSH OF THE DUST AND COBWEBS THE SURFACES ARE UNTOUCHED. THERE LOOKS TO BE A VERY LIGHTLY INCISED LETTERING NEAR THE FRONT BASE OF 1 THAT STARTS WITH A U AND UNDER THAT IS AN O SO I STRONGLY BELIEVE THESE ARE SIGNED UHRICHSVILLE O BUT YOU MUST LOOK AT AN ANGLE TO SEE IT AS IT WAS LIGHTLY INCISED BY HAND. I WILL PUT A SMALL STICKER ABOVE IT SO YOU CAN SEE IT UPON ARRIVAL. EACH OF THESE FIGURES WEIGH 10 POUNDS. A GREAT SMALLER MEDIUM SIZE TOO SO THESE WILL GREATLY DISPLAY ON A MANTLE OR FIREPLACE BASE. NO ROTTING OR DETERIORATION AS THESE WERE FIRED TO BE TOUGH AS THE BRICKS THEY MADE AND THE PAINTED SURFACE REALLY ACTUALLY HELPED TO PRESERVE THAT DETAIL AND ALSO HAVING THEM STORED INSIDE FOR THE PAST 50 YEARS. ONE SITS JUST A HAIR HIGHER THAN THE OTHER. NICE WEAR UNDER BASE ON THE HIGHER SPOTS FROM BEING MOVED AROUND. Antique Cast Iron 30" Urn Planter Patio Flower Pot Estate Jardiniere Lawn Garden
30" tall x 20" wide. The base is 14 x14" This is very well made. It came from an estate, and will look good in any mansion, garden, yard, patio, lawn, deck, or palace. If you like it clean looking the paint will come off easily. It is heavy gauge and will last a life time. It's about 1/3" thick. When pics were taken there was ice and dirt in it. Picture it with a new coat of paint, black or white. It is heavy so shipping is difficult. You may have to arrange a shipper. Antique Victorian Garden sink M and VM company 16" x 24"x approximately 6" deep. This was removed from very old Victorian style farmhouse in Pennsylvania it was in what they considered the washhouse these are very hard to find and very desirable. This has a spot in the one corner that has been repaired. This can be seen in several of the photos. This is a cast but does not appear to be heavy enough to be iron. This includes a stub of pipe that will bolt with ball socket directly to bottom of sink. This also has the strainer in bottom. This would look great in any period Restoration inside or outside and is a drop in style with bolt holes at either end. Very nice vintage primitive iron planter or pot holder. It is 14" long. 14" wide and protrudes from the wall 8" The circular rings will hold a 2" pot. There are 2 recessed holes on the back for hanging. It has the original aged patina but could be painted if desired. This is from a local estate sale of a long time collector. Up for auction and fresh from a local estate sale. Is this Adorable Antique Garden Frog done in Green Paint with Yellow and Brown eyes. He is made of heavy cement, and he has been kept inside for many years on a shelf. He has felt lining on the bottom, for protection and not to scratch the shelf he was on. His paint is very good for his age, he has black spots and red mouth, he has appropriate age wear to the cement, but nothing major for this cute guy. He measures 6 1/2" long stands 5 1/4" tall and is 5 1/2" wide. He may be marked under the felt, but I do not want to remove it, the new owner can do that if you choose to.
