Vintage Sears. Roebuck and Co. Peerless Continuous Sprayer(Copper and Brass) Up for auction is a vintage Sears. Roebuck and Co. Peerless Continuous Sprayer for Home and Garden. This old sprayer is made of solid copper and brass, and has a handle made of wood. It still retains the original label! The entire sprayer is made from solid copper with the exception of the long tube and nozzle tip which are solid brass. It is in excellent cosmetic condition with a very nice patina, although it is probably no longer functional due to the age of the rubber seals. The copper tank measures 4” in diameter. Vintage Garden Insecticide Blizzard Bug Sprayer Copper & Brass D.B. Smith & Co.
ITEM OFFERED AT A LOW"BUY IT NOW" PRICE For your consideration we are offering this vintage garden insecticide sprayer. Featured is a"Blizzard" hand held sprayer manufactured by the D.B. Smith Company of Utica. New York. The insecticide tank is made of copper and the pump tube is made of brass. Upon pumping the sprayer it appears to have good compression and may very well work. I would suggest cleaning out the tank and sprayer nozzle and lubricating the compression gasket in the oiling hole in pump tube. FYI: This is the same type insecticide sprayer used by Marlon Brando's grandson while spraying his tomato garden in the"Godfather" movie. Measures 19" Sprayer has developed a dark patina with some oxidation spotting in areas. If desired, it should polish up nicely. Satisfaction guaranteed.

The Peoria IL company introduced a solid brass version of this sprinkler in 1929. I imagine the copper& brass version was made sometime later. The company is still in business& has a good website. I partially polished the outside of piece. The inside still has the original patina. It's kind of a nice combination. I have included pictures of the sprinkler working. I did find that my current hose is slightly smaller than the input hole. They must have been bigger back in the day. A little plumbers tape would do the job. DB Smith BLIZZARD Utica NY copper brass insect garden sprayer nice patina VGC
This auction is for a vintage BLIZZARD insect or garden sprayer. It was made in Utica NY by DB Smith& Co. probably back in the 1940s. The pump is solid brass and the round tank is solid copper. It is in very nice cosmetic condition the patina is nice and I haven't tried to clean or polish it. The piston in the pump is dried out so will need to be lubed or replaced. This is complete except for the tank brass suction tube and all original right down to the end jet spray plug. The spray jet is open and it has 2 positions one for putting it away and seals it so it won't leak. This is in collectible condition with no easily detectible dents or dings. Lovely old watering can with elegant swooping shape. Beautifully executed and balanced. Long slim nozzle allows you to precisely place the water exactly where you want it and control water flow, perfect for African Violets and other plants that require precise watering. The overall shape is swooping and organic. Pointing towards Art Nouveau. The unique and unusual bullseye decoration is more transitional towards Art Deco. Either way, it is lovely and enjoyable to use. It is unmarked. Pointing towards and artisan made piece. As for the metal…without ruining the great patina. I believe the bottom is brass, as is the nozzle and handle, but the body of the can seems to be copper. It would be stunning polished with the bi colored metal, but is also lovely as is. The watering can measures 9" tall and 15" wide and 3-1/2" deep.

From Universal Metal Products mentioned on the bag. No name is seen on the pump. Providing incase needed. A modern but older green cut hose attachment(clean) used on top nozzle, to direct water sucked in at base nozzle, away from you. Pump itself is in usable working vintage condition. Antique Copper & Brass Plate Pump Mister Sprayer Wood Handle, Coarse/Fine Adjust
Antique Copper& Brass Plate Pump Mister Sprayer Wood Handle w Coarse/Fine Adjuster This is a charming. Fairly large antique hand pumping water mister or sprayer. The container is solid copper with a brass bottom that is approximately 5” tall by 5” in diameter at the bottom. Made in U.S.A. is embossed on the bottom. The container has a bumpy dent on the front(see photos) and numerous very fine, light scritches. It appears that the screw top is also brass, or brass plate over copper(on one side, you can see wear to the gold-colored plate that fades into the deep umber color of copper, and there is the green oxidation that copper shows; see photo) It has a dome on the top with a groove in it; the brass tube of the pump is soldered into the groove. The pump tube is 14” long. At the top in is a is a small nozzle with a hole at the tip; this ... morefits onto a brass screw and you can adjust the mist from fine to“coarse” by turning this fitting. This info is made clear by directions embossed on the tube: Adjust Nozzle” with“Fine” and an arrow pointing right below that; and“Coarse” with an arrow pointing left below that. The nozzle unscrews easily. Two little screws(not philips) at the bottom end of the tube allow you to remove the end to clean it out. The end plate is a hard, old rubber still in good condition. The rod of the pump appears to be iron(there is some rust near the handle) and the handle is wood. The tube has a couple of small dings, a tiny dent on the lower side, and a ½” long shallow dent on the upper side(photo 8) there are also two areas with beige paint spots. One of these is a 1.25” long drip(photo 7) the other was a.25 X.5” splotch. I figured these spots could be removed with my fingernail, and sure enough, they can. What I found when I removed the small spot is that the tube is also really copper with brass plate, as the plating came off with the paint(photo 4) I decided to leave the drip to the buyer’s discretion to remove or not.
