Up for auction is a very cool vintage walking cast iron sprinkler shaped like a tractor and painted red with white wheels. As the water pumps through the nozzle at the back of the tractor it propels the sprinkler head to spin. As the sprinkler spins. The tractor slowly moves forward watering your garden or lawn. This piece is a great decorative/display piece, but it does move freely and appears to work as it should. There does look like there was a plastic piece that fit around where the sprinkler is attached, but this is broken. It doesn't impact the visual appearance or function. This can be seen best in picture 12. This piece does have minimal rust, adding to the character, but could likely be cleaned. Great collectors item. All original parts. Wheels, paint; still works and crawls on the hose. Item is freshly oiled in photos to show great color of the metal and patina. This old walking/crawling lawn sprinkler is in very good condition. The wheels turn freely, as does the steel gear. Both rear wheels have anti-reverse levers, the levers are free moving. Everything operates smoothly. This old cast iron KEES KRAWLER lawn sprinkler tractor looks great as a stand alone as a decorator piece. It is a very nice piece. You can attach a hose, and have a really cool antique crawling sprinkler for your yard. A 3/4" water hose attaches to the rear of the tractor, between the rear wheels. Water pressure advances the crawling tractor and the steel gear transfers the mechanical rotation of the wheels to spin the wand. Antique 73 Cast Iron Tractor Seat, Rustic Farm Garden Industrial vintage old
This is an old tractor seat that would look great in your garden. House, or loft. This antique seat is made of cast iron that was painted a reddish orange at some point. The number 73 is at the front of the seat. It is 15 7/16 inches wide by 12 1/2 inches deep including 1 inch for a loop at the back. It is 4 inches tall at the back. This seat must have been out in the weather for a long time before it was cleaned and painted. The metal is still strong, but there is lots of pitting from old rust under the paint. Some of the paint has worn off. This piece is colorful with a lot of visual interest. It will go with modern, country, or industrial interiors.
