That was used for floral arragements, especially at weddings, huge formal parties and funerals. The vase or pot sits down in the frame. These are wonderful to use for houseplants in a sun room: you can train ivy and the like up and around the handle. This is really a tall handle and quite sturdy! The green paint is peeling, but you can paint to any color you want. 31 in. tall, basket space at bottom that holds the vase or pot is 7 in, across the top and 7 in. tall. And very unique Bottom is Wood Measures 28" tall x 9.25" across bottom x 8.75" across top Condition is"Antique-Great" There is a small spot at base on one side that is"flawed" But there is no missing wicker, and nothing separated or ready to break. Looks like someone took the time to repair this and stain over it. Watercolor under glass has some water staining and a couple creases in paper. But otherwise great. The art focal point is an exotic bird on top branches of tree. Glass is in great condition.

Vintage Wicker and Wood Barbola basket! This is absolutely beautiful. It's in the shape of an Easter Basket. I can't find any damage to it with the exception of one area that looks like a few spots where white paint got on it. Yet I'm not sure if it is paint or something else. See last photo. I circled all the areas in that picture. It's nothing real noticeable. To give you a little story about this basket. I was asked to stop by someones home to help clean it out and to take anything we could use. In looking around in the attic. I opened a garbage bag and found this basket. I wasn't aware of the age of the basket. I just thought it was beautiful. On my way out. A family member said. I haven't' seen that basket in years" He went onto telling me this belonged to his grandmother and his mother inherited it after ... moreher passing. Color is hunter green with gold peeking out here and there. Paint is original. There is no damage in the wicker or the wood that I can see. Both sides are decorated with a beautiful swag of Barbola roses. Dates back to the early 1920s. He couldn't give me an exact age. Up for auction is a set of 2 antique wicker and wood planters. These are primitive shabby chic cottage style stuff. In very good condition overall. The original paint looks to have been a brown color. Or at least that's the color underneath. Minor paint wear and wood wear, no damaged wicker to speak of. Their only main flaw is that there is a some light warping overall to the squareness of them. They measure approx 27" wide by 10" front to back by 31" full height. All the iron is in excellent used condition. It has been outside and has some rust spots but is very solid. Heavy and sturdy.perfect to spray paint any color you wish or use as is.white The lower shelf is wicker/cane attached to an iron base which is removable but is presently attached with a light wire to keep it in place. It has a removable basket as well as a removable tray which rests on the top shelf between the basket and base. The basket is ... morealso iron. Covered in wicker, part is missing but still very usable, would suggest a couple coats of spray paint to reinforce strength. The shelf which rests between the upper shelf and the basket also has a wicker/rattan piece that was attached at one point. It will be included if you feel like attempting to reattach it. It is truly a beautiful stately garden piece of the past that has survived and surely has a long life ahead. This will be shipped in 2 Boxes.
