But it looks like it could ... morehave be from a section of ornamental fencing or gate, a pediment or top piece along a fence or gate, or from some other sort of piece. The person we got it from told us it was sold by an antique dealer who regularly imports containers of antiques from France. As you can see the section was cut at the ends such that the left and right sides are not symmetric. The overall maximum dimensions are about 33" wide by 16 1/2" tall. The profile of the wrought iron is about 1/2" x 1/4" The piece weighs nearly 10 pounds. Condition: The piece was painted a slate blue color as seen in the closeup photos in the lower photo group below this description. There is both quite a bit of paint loss and surface rust as seen. ANTIQUE VICTORIAN 24" WIDE WROUGHT IRON GARDEN GATE & GOTHIC CAST IRON POST
Antique hinged garden fence with single post attached. overall width is 35" The post has a total height of 45" two 7 1/2" long spikes that would be stuck into the ground or cement and a 37 1/2" tall post with Victorian Gothic styling. The gate is 24" wide and 33" tall from end to end of the center. The hinge between gate and post is 3" wide and allows the gate to swing both ways. There is a stabilizing bar that helped to keep the post upright but the end is broken off and many years ago. Someone put an ornate Eastlake doorknob on the top of the gate handle. One of the cast rosettes on the upright iron post is partially missing. There is a coat of rust over a pitted iron surface but gate and post are well-made, solid and still functional. Condition is nice and solid but the paint on the arm is a bit patchy in places and could do with a clean up. Antique Vintage Wrought Cast Iron Ornate Plant Stand Dragon Phoenix Claw Feet(D)
This is an antique or vintage Wrought and Cast Iron Plant Stand with a very ornate Phoenix or Winged Dragon design. It also has claw feet. It is 24" tall. 15" wide feet. It retains the original white paint which is rust speckled. Two of the tips of the dragon wings or feathers have chipped tips but it appears to have been made that way from the mold since the original paint covers it. The top is reticulated. The three legs are very ornate. The top attaches to the base with a new bolt and nut. Sturdy and as ornate and detailed as I have seen in an iron plant stand. Beautiful!

This listing is for a set of 41 pieces of Garden Border Fencing. These are not really an item I am familiar with and I couldn't find any exactly like them to compare. I believe they are vintage. Cast/wrought iron and“powder coated” not an expert, so these are guesses) They are very heavy, not cheap flimsy metal like modern ones. They do show some weathering. I do not have time to detail each and every mark. Most are in good condition, a few show more wear/rust than others(see close up of worst example, maybe 1/2 dozen or less) They have hooks/hinges on the ends to hold together/rotate direction. There are 30 that are about 18” wide and 11 that are 6” Which if I did my math correctly is about 50 feet. Hand hammered plates form"petals" surrounding a decorative center with heavy iron loop. Petals are attached to center with very old, hand made, square head nails. Arched brackets on either side with simple but pretty ends. Quite heavy for its size. I would estimate the piece to be ca. 1850's- 1870's. Perfect for re-purposing as a wonderful vintage decorating piece! Measures 18.5" from finial to finial. 11" deep from tips of petals at center to finials, flower measures approx. 10" in diameter and 4.25" deep.
