VTG INDUSTRIAL CAST IRON METAL FARM WHEEL STEAMPUNK GEAR - YARD ART GARDEN DECOR
Up for sale is one of these vintage cast iron/metal steampunk farm plow spiked gear wheels. These gear wheels are great for yard or garden decor. Wall displays and even repurposed in making furniture or steampunk creations. Each wheel is missing one spike and has very similar wear from age as the ones pictured. The wheels vary from 17 1/4" to 17 3/4" in diameter depending on the wear to the ends. The center hole has a diameter of 1 1/8" and the wheel is 3 7/8" wide. Up for bid is a very nice condition solid cast iron gear. Cog, or wheel. Found at a farm auction some months back, I purchased it to make a table for a client, who after the purchase changed her mind, typical. So, without further ado, it is up for sale or bid for that matter, to the highest bidder. The gear or cog is approximately 14-3/8" in diameter and has a center that protrudes out from the wall about 2-1/4" deep. It has a wonderful 4-leaf clover design or a quadrafoil to those of you who think in religious terms. It is rather heavy, probably weighing in around 20 pounds at least. Cast Iron Rotary Hoe Spike Wheel ~Approx 18" diameter ~weight just under 13 pounds ~4" wide at the center ~Center hole is 1.5" diameter ~16 spikes- no loose or broken spikes. This spike wheel came off a John Deere piece of equipment. Hard to read. But it looks like H 486D is on the wheel, near the center. This spike wheel would look great in any garden or yard!
