Unusual in that there are five instead of four seed-throwing arms. Action seems normal except that the wear of the gears on the shafts has made them loose and the large gear wobbles. But works. The flow of seed is started by pulling back on the lever on the side of the platform and holding it or locking it in place. All nails and screws used to attach the various parts parts of the seeder to the platform are not authentic vintage. Diameter of seed-throwing plate about 11 inches in diameter. Vintage Antique Hand Held Sickle (Sythe). 15" Wood Handle, 20" Blade Hand forged
This is a sickle or scythe as far as I can tell. The blade is on the outer edge though. And I honestly don't even know how to use it. This at one point belonged to my grandfather and my dad won't let me scrap it. I find modern cutting methods a bit more precise and powerful. But respect that there's a bit of old time charm to this thinge, it might make a nice wall mounted piece or something. I'm also selling some old pruning shears. Vintage Tin Litho Hand-Held Bug Sprayer; Insect Design; ca. 1950 Saranac Mich.
This 1950's vintage hand-held bug sprayer consists of a tin tube with wooden-handled plunger. This apparatus is attached to a ribbed glass spray reservoir with a tin screw-top lid. The tube is tin. With a great lithographed design of various pests-with their names and their pictures-including the honey bee! Manufactured by Leigh Universal, of Saranac, Michigan, this terrific little sprayer is called the Spray Doc. Condition is very good. There is rust on the reservoir lid and the edges of the tin tube, but their is no rust or paint loss on the lithography and no chips, cracks, or damage to the glass reservoir. The plunger works smoothly. This is a nice, unusual sprayer, ready for the pests of summer. Buyer to pay for parcel post shipping. Sales tax is added for New York State buyers. U.S. bidders only.
