The slot measures 5" long and about 1 1/4" wide. The spring works great. The letters are nice and crisp. I do not see any cracks. Chips or breaks on the piece. Made by Sears in 1958 this is a great garden piece for displaying flowers. Or use. It shows normal rust and wear for age, but has no holes or dents. Has a wooden handle. It measures 16 inches wide, 5 inches deep not counting sides or handle, and 8 inches thick. It has stamped in each end, Craftsman Carryall, and Patent number. First one I have seen like this. Vintage Cast Iron Lawn Sprinkler Craftsman Rotating w/Adj Nozzles 1952 No Rust
You are bidding on a Vintage Cast Iron Lawn Sprinkler Craftsman Rotating w/Adjustable Nozzles 1952 No Rust Excellent. This working sprinkler has survived quite well for being over 60 years old with no damage including no cracks. Chips, dents, bends or rust and only a small amount of paint loss. The date on the bottom is stamped 1949 though I just found a patent number on the spindle and the number equates to 1952, you be the judge. The cast iron base is 9" in diameter and the total height of this sprinkler is 6 1/4" it weighs 5 lbs and 12 ounces. Each nozzle can be set between 10 and 50 feet. There is also a set of spray holes on the horizontal arm to water the immediate surface around the sprinkler. This is a well constructed lawn sprinkler. The parts which are not cast iron. They are solid brass which are chrome plated. This lawn ... moresprinkler gives you many options as far as the amount of surface area it can cover. You are buying this sprinkler as found. If one cared to, they could clean this sprinkler to make it all shiny by polishing the spindle and horizontal arm. Thank you for viewing this item. The weeder is 11" in length with a beautiful wood handle measuring almost 4 1/2" The forked blade looks to have had minimal use. Weight is 6.1 ounces. The trowel has a slender& curved shovel head measuring 5" And a matching 4 1/2" handle. Weight is 6.1 ounces. Also, with minimal use. There are some scratches on the stainless steel heads; every part of the tools is secure and firm. Stainless steel. Marked Japan which is known for it's excellent garden tools.
