WINDMILL FAN 8 feet Diameter Wind Mill Farm Vintage Fan Blades This auction is for a vintage Windmill fan from a farm in Ohio. It measures 8 feet in diameter. There are six(6) fan sections. Each section has three(3) blades. There are a total of 18 blades. Included are six(6) spokes that hold the blades in position. These spokes are shown in the photo. Note the windmill is not assembled. The length of each blade is about 29 inches. The blade is about 12 inches wide at the wide end and about 6 inches wide at the narrow end. The blades are galvanized steel. I think. I just laid it out in the driveway for the photo. I swept some dust off it. But it is not cleaned up. I have never assembled this. When the windmill was being taken down(in the 1970s. I think) my wife and I“rescued” it and I always imagined that I would install it as outdoor art ... moreon the end of the garage, or somewhere else. It never got done! Now we are thinking of downsizing. And I’m trying to clear out all the stuff from the garage. We are seeking a new home to value the history and honor what this windmill fan meant to a farm family in Ohio many years ago. The windmill hub is not included. Only what is in the photos. This is a total of 6 fan sections and 6 spokes. Perhaps this could be displayed at a museum. Or perhaps on the end of a garage. As I imagined. Or on a wall in a restaurant or pub. Or think of it as"authentic art" and exhibit it where you will enjoy it to the max! I predict there will be some pieces that are slightly bent. My inspection indicates there is nothing broken. 2 Large Antique Belt or Cart Wheels with Spokes, Cast Iron,15 11/16", old Farm
This is an old pair of farm or factory wheels that would look terrific in your garden or industrial loft. These antique wheels are cast iron with 6 spokes each. They are embossed with the number 61. They are 15 11/16 inches in diameter and the treads are 1 21/32 inches wide. They have a 25/32 inch bore at the center. These wheels have been cleaned but show pitting from old rust. There is some light rust where the spokes meet the rim and inside and around the axle bore. The set screws work. These wheels were originally belt wheels on a piece of farm or factory machinery. Probably on a chopper. When we found them they were being used as wheelbarrow or cart wheels for another piece of farm machinery. You could use these in rooms decorated in steampunk. Rustic, or country styles.
