This piece is a great decorative/display piece, but it does move freely and appears to work as it should. There does look like there was a plastic piece that fit around where the sprinkler is attached, but this is broken. It doesn't impact the visual appearance or function. I believe this RED ARROW sprinkler with the Art Deco base is a hard-to-find piece. It has a very cool"rocket" looking spray head. It is clearly embossed Allen Red Arrow Chicago. It is in as-found condition with worn paint and rusty areas as you'd expect for its age and use. The cast iron base measures 7 3/4" x 8" It measures 9 7/8" high to the top of the spray head. There is a tight crack in the iron base which can be seen in the last photo. In fact. We never noticed it til reviewing our pictures. This listing is for an authentic vintage antique garden tool. This is a small push-style one row planter or seeder. I can find no makers or patent markings. It was a wooden drive wheel. And Cast iron frame with furrow opener. Interior is tin or light steel and is a two-part drum with diamond shaped openings. Sliding the two sides together increases or decreases the size of opening to determine seeding rate. It has a two bolt clamp to go on a wooden handle. I did not find the handle. it must have been repurposed by the original owner. There is a small bent rod at bottom that would drag as the furrow closer. Wood wheel is held on shaft by a single cotter's pin. Removal of this pin and the wooden wheel would allow the tin drum to be filled with seed. Wheel is 9" in diameter, and cast iron part is 12" in total length. This planter ... moreappears to have never been used. It is in excellent condition. Antique Vintage Red Jacket Cast Iron Well Water Pump Diverter Conductor Pat 1926
Up for auction is a cast iron Red Jacket water conductor/ diverter for a well water hand pump. It was hung from a hook close to the end of the spigot of a hand pump for well water. The wire bail went over the hook on the pump and a piece of pipe was threaded into the opening at the bottom of the diverter( pic 3) The bottom of the diverter could rotate 360 degrees and would direct water from the pump to a variety of containers. It is approx. 5 1/2" tall and 4 1/2" in diameter. The inlet where the spigot goes is 2 5/8" in diameter. If you collect Red Jacket pumps this piece would be the finishing touch to one of your pumps.
