Vintage W L Davey Corp Cast Iron/Brass Hand Well Water Pump Farm Tool Primitive
Vintage pump marked W. L. Davey Corp. Rockford. Ill. This pump measures 20" tall, the base is 9" x 4 1/2" and the handle is about 18 1/2" long. The top spout part is threaded and is 1" the other one 1/2 way down is also threaded and is 3/4" The body part is brass as well as some of the other fittings, the rest is cast iron. The handle moves freely, there are no cracks, welds or breaks in the cast iron. There are various cast#s on a few of the parts, see pictures for details. Hasn't been tested or used in years, might need new"guts" or would be great for garden decor. Ships USPS Standard(economy) or Priority w/$5.00 handling which includes tracking and insurance.

A storage barn of an antiques dealer that passed about 10 years ago. She specialized in early primitives and American folk art and boy-oh-boy you do not want to miss this week. I took photos of the items that I bought for one full day, and still am not finished– but decided to go ahead and list what I have– enjoy! Gosh. I just realized that I haven't even started on any of the garden items from the auction- I bought a lot of those too- this is my first one I'm listing, but I'll hurry to get up more soon- I got some very cool unique pieces. This one, not as unique as the others, but still very primitive and cool. It's an antique horse head hitching post top(post not included) a real deal ... moreoldee- not one of the manymany repros that you see today. Made of cast iron, he weighs 8 1/2 lbs heavy and is in excellent solid and sturdy condition structurally. I'm asking if he has a maker's mark in my title because he has a relief diamond on both sides behind his eye- it looks to have dots inside of it too. I couldn't find another exactly like this so was wondering if indeed it's a mark of the maker? He has a beautiful white finish that is shabby, chippy and worn all over, and you can see the darkdark patina of the iron mixed with old dark surface rust in many spots- that's heaven to me! His hitching loop is not painted, so you just see the dark dark iron that actually looks black in some lights- looking closer- it could have been painted black on the ring at one time- just from the peeks of the black. The ring is actually not a ring, it's more of a rounded V shape, and it's open at the top- not soldered all the way- I don't know if you could remove it if you wanted to(maybe with some crafty wiggling, I don't know) but I wanted you to know that it's open in his mouth- I can see when I peek inside and it's about 1/4" of space o

Huge Cast Iron VTG Primitive Mermaid Yard Garden Decor Nautical Sculpture 40"
Up for auction I have one of the coolest cast iron molded mermaids I have ever seen. She is over 3 feet long and weighs about 60lbs. We got her at an estate in Michigan. I would like to assume that. That is where she was probably made. She is hollow and you can see her mold lines. She has amazing age wear that just makes her better. She is not broken in any way. Just cool. Again. She is about 40" long. Her arms are about 15" apart and from the ground up she is about 17" tall. Looks like she spent most of her life outside being that the estate was on Lake Michigan.
