Lot of Vintage Metal Spikes Flower Frogs Floral Arranging Garden Decoration
This is a lot of vintage metal flower frog spikes I found at a local estate sale. There's two that have green plastic bases and they measure 2 3/4" in diameter. One is shaped like a rounded rectangle and measures 3 3/4" by 2 3/4" It has a silver metal bottom and gold spikes. The last frog is actually two frogs that fit together like puzzle pieces. One part is round and the other is moon shaped. It measures 4 1/4" by 2 3/4" The base is silver metal and the spikes are gold. They are all in very good. Gently used condition. Vintage Flower Fashioners-Frogs Box of Polished Stones Flower Arranging JAPAN
Here we have a set of vintage flower fashioners and a box of polished stones used for flower arranging. These were found in the attic of an Atlanta estate as well as several sets of flower frogs I also have listed. The flower fashioners come in original boxes but the boxes are not in good shape. The label has come off the larger box and the green paper has peeled away from the box. The larger fashioners are 6 1/2 inches tall and the two smaller ones are about 2 1/2 inches tall and they are made of plastic. The larger ones are metal with a rubber base. The bases are dirty but the metal is very shiny and clean. Also included is a box of polished stones also from Japan. 3 VINTAGE FOOTED GLASS FLOWER ARRANGING~FLORAL FROGS-PEN HOLDER-PAPERWEIGHT-EUC
These three flower arranging frogs came to me from my grqandmother. Who grew and arranged all her flowers. The one clear on has 11 holes and is 3 1/4" in diameter and about 1 1/4" tall. The second clear one has 11 holes and is 3 1/4" in diameter and about 1 1/2" tall. It is difficult to measure the height because they are rounded up, But one is taller and heavier than the other. Both are in wonderful condition with no chips. Cracks or repairs. The amber colored frog has 9 holes and is about 3" in diameter and about 1 1/2" tall. It has a small chip on the edge which does not affect the usability. In any way. Please ask questions before bidding. Payment is expected within 3 days. Welcome to my auction for these two vintage Clear Glass Flower Arranging Frogs FLORAL FROGS. These holders are two sizes: smaller is 3.25" with 11 holes and larger is more domed at the top and 4.5" across with 19 holes. I have also shown them used as pencil holders as is a nice re-purposing idea. Both have three little feet that raises them off the bottom a little bit.

It stands under 1" high one is 3 3/4" across. It stands approx. 1 1/2" high in the center- this is one of the ones with a broken leg(see last picture) one is 2 1/4" across. It stands 1 3/4" in the center, it has a chip on the top between the center hole and one of the side holes- see picture 6, embossed on side patd April 11, 1916, 2 1/4 one is 2 1/2" across. Set of 4 heavy metal round flower frogs with numerous very sharp spikes. One green frog and the copper frog measure approximately 3 inches in diameter and 7/8 inches high. The copper colored frog has some paint loss around the outer rim, the green frog has a very small amount of paint loss at the bottom rim in one area. The silver frog is 2 1/2 inches in diameter and has some wear to the paint. The small green frog is 2 inches in diameter and 3/4 inches high with no paint loss. There are no bent or missing spikes and there is no damage to any of the four except for some paint loss already mentioned. Old stock one that is still in its package has instructions on the back of how to use these flower holders. This packaged flower holder states that it is“guaranteed rust proof” and that the pins are made of brass and the base is lead. The other unpackaged flower holders appear to be the same brand and description of the packaged one. There is no rust on any of these flower holders. The pin type flower holders provide more flexibility in the floral arrangement. The pins on all of them appear straight. There is one new. Old stock, Garden Club flower holder still in its package. This is#212 from Beagle Manufacturing Co. Inc. USA. The base measures about 2” in diameter and the needles ... moreare about 1/2” long. There are three more round flower holders that appear to be the same as the new. Old stock one. These appear to be made out of brass and iron as well and have the same design and measurement as the one listed above. One of these three appears almost unused although it is not in its wrapper. The fifth flower holder is oblong and also appears to be the same design and brass and iron as the new. Old stock one. This one measures about 3” by 1 3/8” with 1/2” needles. Here I have a lot of 3 different shape green metal spike flower frogs in good used condition! You get all three! The largest round frog has a copper or brass bottom and is 3 3/4" diameter by 1 1/2" tall. Matching pair of vintage clear glass flower frogs with silver colored metal bowls. These can be used with flowers and/or candles. Each has 19 holes; the center hole is approximately 3/4 inch in diameter. The next row of 6 are approximately 1/2 inch in diameter and the outer row of 12 are approximately 3/8 inch in diameter. The 19 openings are compartmentalized so that each stem or candle has a separate compartment. The glass frogs measure approximately 4 inches in diameter and 2 1/2 inches high with 6 tiny feet on the bottom. The silver colored metal bowls measure approximately 4 3/4 inches in diameter and 1 1/4 inches deep. Both bowls have labels attached; one reads"Made in Italy" and the other reads"Silver Centro. The bowls have wear; blemishes on the exterior and interior and scratches on the bottoms. The glass flower frogs ... moreare in excellent condition with no mineral build up or cloudiness and there are no fleabites, chips, cracks or repairs.
