The owner states that it was wrapped in a piece of burlap However the burlap was removed and placed in a protective pouch and in plastic. Also was a hand written note stating the user or owner of the item. The reason that's important is they were a contestant in the national Events that took place for many years. This item is in normal wear for it's age and the leather is still in good collectible condition. As you can also see by the photo the steel pins are not worn and still solid and intact. Primitive Antique Farm Hand Operated Metal Corn Husker Mounted on Old Board
Up for review is an original hand operated lap mounted corn shell husker for removing the kernels of corn from the husk. The metal husker measures 4" in diameter at the base and is 2 3/4" tall. It is screwed to the original aged board that measures 19 3/4" long. The corn would be placed in the top of the husker. Twisted around on the teeth in the husker and the kernels would be removed from the husk. We've had the husker displayed on the wall of our game room and was always the center of interest. A hand held corn husker which has an adjustable leather thumb strap and steel blade. It was used to husk corn before they had mechanical equipment to do that. There is stenciling on the leather under the strap"BOSS"HUSKER" MANUFACTURED BY BOSS MFG CO KANKAKEE. ILLINOIS" Some of the letters are hidden or faded. All I can see is" KEE, ILLINOIS" so I deducted it is Kankakee. The leather is hard and not flexible so I was afraid to open the strap for fear of tearing the leather. Metal/iron blade is very rusty. This is a pair of Homco cast metal plaques. We call them"The Harvesting" stamped on back is 1270 BX and 1970.The first one is a corn husking machine and the second one is the apple press to make apple cider. Together they add color and beauty to a wall.The colors are mainly browns.Black,green and red. They are approx.8.5" tall x 7.5" at their widest point. There is some light chipping NO other damage.

Antique Cast Iron Corn Sheller Husker Hand Cranked Walnut Sheller Barn Primitive
This is a heavily pierced cast iron Corn Sheller or Shucker often found in barns of the early part of the 1900's and even earlier in some cases. This is one is excellent shape with its original red paint and all parts and pieces intact and ready for use or for display. It has an ogee curved wooden handle that you would crank as you fed ears of corn through the daunting looking chute and into the awaiting wheel. A real finger pincher here. Vintage 3 Cent Corn Husker's Tool Check Tag * Independence Canning Corp Iowa
You are bidding on a vintage Tool Check Tag from the Independence Canning Corporation. In Independence, IA(probably late 1910's-early 1920's) This tag was purchased by an employee for 3 cents. The employee would then trade this token for a Corn Husking tool so they could work. When the employee returned the tool. They would receive this token in exchange, which they could cash out for 3 cents or keep the token until the next shift. This token is circulated and a little dirty but still in very good condition. 24mm diameter. See photos.
